what is a soul?

is it something that people beleive in..or do we acctually have it?
and fact or myth, what IS it?? i know its something in our body (if its true) but what is it?

A soul is how some people explain a conscience, or something like that. IMO, it doesn't exist, and I think if you do a search, there was a thread about this a while ago

What i beleive a soul is

Is who and what you are, the body you have is just a costume your soul wears. The soul is i think your mind.

It what seperates each other, if i was in your body and you were in mine we'd still be the same person and what makes you your person is your soul.

and yes i do believe we have souls. it's hard to explain it. i guess it's all in a person's religious up-bringings...

Whether it be something akin to a soul or not, there are still mysteries regarding human kind. For instance, they know how the brain works, but they don't know exactly what it does. How does it make us sentient, how does it enable us with self awareness and individuality. I do agree there is something else, a little oomph that makes our bodies of flesh, blood, and awesome opposable thumbs, human. Something that makes us think, feel, act, question and...philosophize.

I believe ppl have something called life energy which is kinda like a soul
