supermans a pansy he has a dumb "vow never to kill" and to fight for "truth, justic and the american way." Punisher can actually keep villians off the street
Punisher would NEVER last going up against what Superman does.
Apparently human life doesn't mean as much as it used to. Insulting someone for doing what is generally accepted as morally right(not killing someone) doesn't reflect well on you.
Besides, next to all the lives he does take, Punisher doesn't seem to be doing to well. He still hasn't stopped the crime in his area, after killing countless people. You'd think that a writer would think of relocating him so he has more enemies to kill, but he still hasn't done enough in his area!
I like Punisher as much as the next guy(probably more actually) but he isn't close to Superman's level.
Well I always found capes to be quite stylish, and a ready accesory to any outfit! 🙂
As for Phil Urich being a wannabe...I really liked his character and it was a funny book...but yeah he's a wannabe, or was one. He was starting to hit his stride their by the end, and they gave his series the axe and decided to get rid of his Goblin gear, so if they ever want to use him again, they have to make an incredibly complicated second origin.
The Slingers (another book, and more characters that again, I really like) are wannabe's. They lost a basketball game to the New Warriors. OUCH! They started to get really good at the end when they faced off to Mephisto, then their book was discontinued, and we have seen very, very little of them since.
Aquaman is kind of a wannabe hero, but could that have been fixed with the writing? Instead of writing him as a hero out of his element, how about as a Monarch of over 70% of the Earth, with a few para-human abilities (when compared to our inferior air-breathing masses) who is just looking out for and protecting his Kingdom, and in turn, Earth. But since then haven't they ousted him as King, given him back his ridiculous orange shirt and made him the "water bearer"? So now he's worse off than before.
