what is this i feel?

i was talking to this girl on my AIM acount and i think......i love her. im not sure but she is so sweet and nice.she is just like me she has a freaky family and a freaky life and i made her cry because i was so sweet to her could some one tell me if this is real love or just that i like her?

I'd say you're feeling the power of attraction to a kindred spirit. If it was, as you put it, 'Real love' there would be no need to ask the question. From balls to bone you would know it.

pel, good point, but he might be in the process of discovering that he actually loves her.

I think you speak too lightly of love. How can he truly love someone he doesn't know. If anything he is in love with the "idea" of her.

I define love as "the act of devoting all that you are into the mental and spiritual growth of another".

That in itself takes time to form within yourself not to mention that it's not possible if the person you "love" does not share the same feelings. If they don't share the same feelings then they're not letting you in, you can't effect someone who isn't letting you in. They say people fall in love, I would put it as people see the possibility of love and then start to form it together. True love, like anything worth while, takes time and effort and a deep sharing between two people.

Most people will only sample what love really is. The power of it can stop the world in its tracks. Unfortunatly most feel that attraction and think they've reached a peak cause just a small taste is overwhelming. Also without true love "within" you can never express it "without".

umm....do you know what she looks like? hopefully this doesn't seem shallow, but in order for you to be in love with someone....doesn't there need to be atleast some physical attraction?

I'd say you probably "have love for her" but that you're probably not "in love with her".....does that make sense to you guys? cause it makes sense to me...
