I don't mind Superman in general. Jim Lee rocks anything though.

I just love the fact that Jim Lee has successfully made Superman a darker character. Instead of having Superman encompassed in shadow and the "S" showing through clearly, he'd shadow the "S" a little and make some of the blue stand out a little bit. That small change right there makes Superman significantly darker.

He can be but he's too cheesy. Even his name is cheesy. And he's a scoutboy as well, making him even more more more cheessy. Put some pepperoni and sausage on him 'cause he's done.

Dude, he was made in 1938. Everything from that time is cheesy. Trust me, if you read this run of Superman, the creative team does an AWESOME job of tweaking Superman into that "not-so-boyscout" type character he needs to be. Azarrello and Lee do a fantastic job.
