Edward Hopper

I'm basically a big fan of his. I wanted to wait till I had seen the 2 exhibitions about him this year (in Giverny, France about his Parisian years and of course the major exhibition at the Tate Modern in London) before starting a thread.

I love his work on light and the feeling "aloneness" (rather than lonelyness) that is in most of his works.

I did a little bit on him in high school.

Well the exhibition was really great (what's more it the last big exhibition in Europe was 20 years ago) ; My favourite painting Gas wasn't part of it though 🙁
