we're gonna hear Flea and Les Claypoole a million times, i'msure.

Flea played on The Mars Volta's album, and I think that Flea only toured with Jane's Addiction for one summer, I'm not sure if he recorded anything with them or not.

True.

I'm gonna go old school here and I'm considering only electric bass players...

Jaco Pastorious: The first electric bass virtuoso, Ron Carter and while we're at it

Bootsy Collins

Stanley Clark (of course when he switches to upright bass he sounds a little dry, but that's neither here nor there)

oh gawd how could I forget Christian McBride he's a serious bad@$$ in my book one of the 3 best alive today

Myung is an awesome bassist. Compliments John Petrucci well.

Nate Mendal, off topic, is probably the most useless bassist. I think that's what lacks on Foo Fighters records. Bass.

Tim Commerford. F*cking awesome.

wouldnt it be better if he freaking played the instrument 😱

One time in the not too distant past, the then-current best Bassist was in the same group as the then-current best Lead Guitarist. I'll let you guess which duo this was.

I forget his name, but the bassest from RATM can't be touched!

Tim something or other

Yea,
Hey I bought renagades yesterday!
Kickass! I know their all covers but insanly good.

I believe it is Commerfield, but he isn't a particularly great bassist.

the one i've been listening to mostly is Jaco Pastorius

no its Tim Bob, Thats what it says on the back of my Evil empire CD

it's Commerford

did they get a new bassist?
Im confused now.
But The one who did the self titled is crazy
have you heard the intro to take the power back? its sweet

Joey De Maio(Manowar) by far, just check out one of their songs called Sting of the Bumblebee
