Axl Rose was a genius. If it wasn't for him and his band then we'd have had to put up with hair metal bands like Warrant and Poison for a lot longer. Unfortunately instead of keeping his head together and making great music he subsequently thought he was a God and became a complete and utter arsehole and he deserves all his critiscism.
Man, Guns N Roses are SO over rated! They only came out with three albums (Spagetti Incident doesn't count) and people act like they created a genre. November Rain, the most boring song in the world, was played and is still being played on radio hundreds of times. Axel Rose is either a genius or a freakin moron by going on a 12 year hiatus between albums. He keeps firing guitarist and he is the only member of GNR. The fans are sheep.

Still they came as a fresh thing to the hair heavy bands that were roaming the scene in the late 80`s. They kind off kickstarted the heavy scene back on track. Cinderella, Poisen, Warrent, Mötley Crew, Winger blah 😘 😘 😘 . GNR saved us from them cause even if bands like Metallica were around it took GNR to make the public aware of the state of emergency the heavy scene were in.
GNR saved us how?by bringing the focus bac to music instead of looks.
Poison and Mötley Crew were so much better than GNRPoison and Mötley Crew was some pathetic bands, looked more like a kennel gone astray on a stage rather than a rock band performing. what a bunch of pansys. Poison chose the right name for their band cause their music sure as hell was exactly that
Appetite for Destruction brought the anger of raw and ugly rock and roll back into the heavy scene instead of the sissy love ballads pop rock of the hair heavy bands. But with that said it was their only good album thoug, but at least they manage one good albums
