Since we've kind of derailed the girliest men in anime thread discussing Sailormoon, I figured I should bring this thread back up.

So, recently I've reread all of my manga (I have the complete collection), and have been watching PGSM.

I've also discovered, in trying to figure out how much it'd cost me to replace some of my older manga which are a bit beat up, that my Sailormoon collection of stuff could be worth up to $1000...

In Japan seeing middle school girls' nude outlines and uber short skirts isn't porn, it's life. It's also true in terms of said middle school girls having love affairs with 20 year olds and aliens. Just a way of life for the Japanese.

See, the thing is, you never see anything more than outlines. And short skirts = porn, at all. People who think Sailormoon is at all porny must live very sheltered lives or are looking for things where it's not there.

(And middle school students having love affairs with 20 year olds and aliens? Usagi was 14 and Mamoru 18 in the start of Sailormoon. And last I recall, having just finished re-reading the manga, none of them actually had an affair with an alien...a bad guy or two had obsessive crushes but that was about all)

I sued to watch Sailor Moon with my sister every day, right before Poke'mon came on.

The main reason why I watched Sailor Moon was because I liked the transformations.

Who wouldn't want to see a bunch of pretty girls dance around while putting on provocative clothes at the same time? 😍

And shedding off there clothes and being naked for a full two seconds in the process?

It's one of the reasons why Magical Girl animes are great.
