Best type of villain

What is the best type of villain in your oppinion;

Generic Villain: Green Goblin

Merciless Villain: Carnage

Megalomaniac Villain: Thanos/Doom

By-product Villain: The lizard

i say Megolomaniac, with Merciless in second IMO

Why is Green Goblin generic?

megalo for sure cuz even though those guys are way powerful than the ppl they plan to overthrow they always subconsciously provide thier opponents with the necessary info to beat them in the end

I think Green Goblin is generic because a lot of him is "rarrr I'll get you Spider-Man" *shakes fist* Then Spider-Man eats a mentos and GG just has to smile and shake his head approvingly. But the base of him is, he's a psycho, with marginal physical enhancement and weaponry with an obsession with Spider-Man. At times he crosses a little into Megalomania, using Oscorp and the secrets of Peter's life to strike at him. I like him, but he's not exactly ground-breaking.

Then the others are generic also.

It's not the best choice of word. However given the choices, I'd go with 'generic', which here seems to mean 'anything else'.
