Don't Look in the Basement (part 2?)

Thirty years later, I am making a sequel to my fathers original drive in slasher. I would love to hear thoughts on the original movie, as the script is still being completed. This script will not be slasher like the original, but rather more of a thriller/suspense/gore. Many of the original cast will have cameos, and at least one of the surviving characters will be making a reappearance.

Nothing on the site yet except the poster. But more to come as things develop.

Thank you,

Anthony Brownrigg

Will it be filmed in Texas like its predecessor?

Yes, absolutely. In fact we have already found same exact dormatory that was used thirty years ago for the original. It is still there in east texas, and still in the same shape. No one ever occupied it. So, we WILL return there in some way shape or form.

Not only are we shooting in texas, I am bringing back many of the original crew, and cast for various parts. Some of the crew will be crewing again.. it will be interesting to see how much seasoning 30 years can do on a crew.

This is a texas project. I'm a big believer in that, I live in Dallas, and I travel to LA when I need to.. But for this.. texas is its home in my opinion.

I think that movie is going to be on the Monster channel tommorow I'll check it out. I've never seen it before

i've also never seen it before. ill check it out ✅

I had never heard of the film, but I looked S.F. and Tony Brownrigg on the IMDb, and this appears to be on the level. I kinda wish I lived nearer to Texas, so I could somehow get involved with the production. Good luck with it.

Oh thank god, I was worried I didn't exist! Although I've never considered myself on the level.. I lean slightly to the left. (cymbal crash)

Just in case, I DO have a website with some of my other skills, I do a lot of comedy type stuff too.. Not everthings up yet, just a few shorts, and trailers. Imdb dont have all my stuff yet because I KEEP telling them I'm going by ANTHONY now.. And they WONt change it to Tony.. Hmmm. maybe I should write a scene in for them, if If they agree to update my files.

Yeah, on my website, check out directing, and red squad 4, its a new little web series I'm putting together.. 5Min

Ohh, and don't worry you'll know soon enough for anyone who actually DID like the film. I'm shooting with sam this week for the new teaser pilot. I'll put it on my website when I get it done.

Anthony

Anthony, I'm a 33 year old independant film maker who rented "Don't Look in the Basement" when I was 12. This is still one of my favorite horror movies to date! I was just telling a friend about it and that sparked my interest in searching for a DVD version, as I don't yet own one. Anyway, when I saw this forum on the production of part 2, I instantly gasped and got goosebumps! When will production start? I must be a part, I will work for FREE!!!

Hi Mr. Brownrigg, my name is Scott Robinson. I live in Mexia, Texas, not too far from where you're planning on shooting the movie and where your dad did the original of course, in Tehuacana, Texas. I have always been a big fan. I'd like to know more about the project as it comes along and if I can be of any assistance to you let me know. what's the link to your website now? my e-mail address is [email protected]. Thanks for your time.
