Correction, four Symbiotes combined to make up Hybrid. There were five Symbiotes spawned by the Life Foundation, but Scream's Symbiote is not part of Hybrid. It's still bonded to Donna. Now that one of the Symbiotes left Hybrid, there are three left.

If you remember the back-story in the Venom mini's, there was a black guy friend to Hybrid that commented he wanted one of the Symbiotes...

I'd be totally shocked if the Symbiote mentioned in the comics WASN'T him, (even though I pray it was the purple one and it's got a new female host).

I don't remember that at all, lol. And I'm pretty sure I've read every Hybrid story. What issue is it in?

I keep hearing about that (the Hybrid symbiote spurning off a symbiote) happening in the Initiative. I've read every issue of the Initiative and I don't see where it says that!

It happens on the last page of Venom: Along Came a Spider #4:

"Hahahaha! Awright, I'm in! But you gotta get me some a'them sim-by-oats, too! Now quit laughin', man! I'm serious! Those things're dope, jake and alla' that and there gotta be a way..."

Those are the lines that that black friend of Hybrid said to him as the story ended...

It's sad but I'd suggest that pretty much guarantees it's that guy as the one mentioned in the comics most recently. 🙁

Its a big event that came about after Civil War ended. Basically Iron Man makes a super hero team (sorta like the Avengers, but different members) for each state. Venom is in the Thunderbolts, which is now (originally they weren't) part of the Initiative.

Aha ha haa! If you're a black character and the writers are white, you know to expect some of the most inaccurate dialogue possible! Yo!

Yeah well Hybrid was from Brooklyn I think so his buddy was supposed to be a straight-up thug with a heart of gold... yo! 🙁

If you think about it too from the race standpoint: "Omg a black Symbiote host lets do it!"

Yeah, that sounds like something a writer/editor would say to one another.

My guess is it'll either be the brown symbiote that can form crap on his arms for weapons OR the amazingly bland gray one attached to that friend of Hybrids.

Even though TRULY the purple female one would be soooooo much funner, the odds are so against it. 🙁
