Star Wars to get TV spin-off?
A TV series based on the characters from Star Wars could be finished by 2006.

Rumours of a small screen adaptation of the Sci-fi films have circulated for a while, and it seems that George Lucas has finally decided to go ahead with the project.

According to Ain’t It Cool News, the series is to be set between Star Wars episodes III and IV – a time when the oppressive Empire is coming into prominence.

A source revealed that the plot is likely to revolve around legendary bounty hunter Boba Fett – a cult character from the original Star Wars films, with connections to both the Empire and the criminal underworld.

Meanwhile, Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith is set for released in 2005. Fans could be treated to a sneak preview of Episode III when the original Star Wars films are released on DVD in September.

another way to keep the franchise alive and the cash rolling in after ep III.....

can't believe i'm thinking of buying the ewok movies and ewok and droids cartoons.....if you add it up, that's a lot of cash for material i actually consider 3rd rate at best....

clone wars cartoons were good though, and i think this tv series could be also.....we'll see....

Meh... I'd rather it revolve around the Empire and the Jedi's extinction.. and possibly the building of the Death Star? I don't think every single Jedi could be wiped out by the end of EpIII...unless they were all in the same place at once. I'd expect a few renegades around afterwards, but they'd be gone by EpIV

i think it would involve all of those things as well....although i have a feeling the clones finish off all the jedi in ep III....each jedi is accompanied by a "squadron" of clones....they are in effect surrounded....but certainly the building of the empire, maybe the deathstar, and the early stages of the rebellion....yeah, actually, wiping out the last few remaining jedi would be good....

all i can think of is battlestar galactica though, i have no frame of reference to imagine what this show would be like.....

if this rumour were indeed turn out to be true, it would be a sad sad day for Star Wars fans......it would never in a million years be a success.....

And for the 2006 serie .. It may happen between the two trilogies but nothings sure i think but there will have a serie it's official since a few months i think
