X-force is back

Cable is one of the best mentors in comics. He's back in a big way with his own series with deadpool and now the return of X-force. I don't know if they plan on running this series permanently or not but Rob Liefield is back, (my fav. Artist) and I think you should check this book out. It's the premium teenage team. I been reading them since New Mutants #4.

It's a 6 issue mini-series. I hope they don't make it an ongoing, because, damn, we have enough X-books.

Though I am happy to see that the X-Force title is back I cannot agree on Liefeld being permitted to ever draw again. He just does nothing for me in the art department. After seeing the works of Andy Kubert, Romita Jr., Art Thibert, Jim Lee and Ian Churchill I cannot stomach Liefeld's grotesque approach at drawing his character. I respect the man for his creations -- but he needs to join Igor Kordey in a swift death. X-Force #1 after reading it was without a doubt a PALE comparison to it's predecessor. The 90's are over and Liefeld needs to stop drawing...period.

not apart from his creatons or his heros art, i really love his backgrounds. The flatness of both his colors and the pallet(or backdrop) really make viewing more dimensional. I think he's a weak writer in sentence structer but some of his ideas if they ever reach development stand a good shot at being a feature line in comics.

Oh i love the idea of X-force. It's all about kids that grew up if that makes sense to anyone. They're still young people but they've grown up and Cable is the perfect mentor for that type of character team.
They will make good adult superheros if the series last.

Through the years I've watched the Cable character evolve as each writer and artist got a hold of the character. Some I liked and some I totally disagreed with. And it seems like the new X-Force comic though very nostalgic inducing -- is making a trek backwards. What they should be doing is moving forward..
