Inserting images in body-text ?

When I read the vB codes information-page it clearly stated that if you want to pop a piccy into the body of the post all you need to do is wrap the piccy address in [ img ][ /img ] tags, ( without the spaces of course ) and it would appear !

No it don't !

If I try this I find that the image tags are stripped away and only the image addy is left.

So...I take it that the management have decided that this policy of allowing piccies in posts is not now a good idea eh ?

( And before you say it... I know there is an "attach file" facility on the compose page ! ).

you have to write IMG instead of img ✅
i have no other ideas.

try posting it in here papa....someone will be able to hit Quote and find out what you're mis-typing...

[img] with small letters. instead of [IMG] wit big letters. 🙁

it's just that I did some [img]s and those always worked... perhaps it just recently changed 😖

If the image you are trying to link to is a dynamic one i.e. has a ? in the URL - it will not display the image, as its prone to abuse.

I will try again with [ img ] & [ IMG ] and after stripping out the "?" and everything after it...Here goes:

Yahoooooo...It works in preview anyway !

Now I will try it with [ IMG ].....
