We do not allow the registration for users under the age of 13. This is basically for their own protection and our need to comply with US Law, especially the COPPA."So, if that rule is enforced.. shouldn't there be no need for a PG-13 guideline?
dictionary says: PG-13 "A trademark used for a movie rating indicating that admission will be granted to persons of all ages but that parental guidance is suggested in the case of children under the age of 13."
Yeah.. so, with the no one under 13 can register rule. There is no reason for a PG-13 rule. As it applies to those.. under the age of 13. [/B]
First of all, the PG-13 rule is a rule placed by Raz, it is just a guideline as to what is and isn't allowed. Another way to look at it is if they can do it in The Simpsons, it's okay to do on this site.
Just because 13 year olds aren't supposed to register, they still can and do. They just lie about their age. Then, if they happen to be looking at a picture that could be considered offensive and their parents happen to walk it, Raz is responsible. Also, even if kids under 13 aren't registered members, they can still view this site and look at topics. They just can't reply. So therefore, we have to keep in mind that a lot of trouble could happen if the wrong eyes fell upon suggestive and explicit pics.
Also, just because there is no nudity does not mean that it automatically is not explicit. There are plenty of things that a woman in a bikini or thong could be doing that could be considered explicit.
It's really not that difficult, just use common sense.
