Kareem Abdul Jabarr Set To Star In?a Shaft sequel!

I just read in Variety that Abdul Jabarr is in talks to play Shaft.

What do you think about this?

I think it's an awful idea, Jabarr hasn't really done much acting other than in Slam Dunk Ernest and Airplane!

People must want to destroy action films, to even consider casting Jabarr.

On the DVD commentary for "Airplane", the filmmakers mentioned that Kareem did the movie for something like $30,000; he required that specific amount because it was the cost of a fancy rug he wanted to buy.

Honest mistake.

I thought Kareem had retired from films.
