By pattern I meant the general sound of their albums. All three sound different, as they were created in different ways and circumstances.
Its true, they do have a distinguishable sound, but I can't see how thats a bad thing. You can always tell immediately a Metallica song or a Korn song or a System Of A Down song. Being instantly recognisable is the mark of a band who have created their own style and not followed a generic formula.
As for not being able to tell one song from another, thats simply a case of you not being interested enough in the band to make the distinction, which everyone does with bands they don't like.
