LotR vs. PotC

Dude and another thing, you're whining about how RotK took all the oscars from PotC?!? Last year and the year before LotR: FotR and TT were against major competition like Chicago for example. We didn't make a fuss because RotK didn't win all the oscars, sure I was disappointed but I didn't go and blame Chicago now did I?

JRR tolkien was a genious..he created a literary world rivaled by none other....he created something that has moved,inspired.....and just generally made people love it for the last what was it...50 years.....

so.....in 2053 call me up....see if POTC is still around....ok?

and still having obsessive ppl reading the books if any happen to be made... sorry Chris, I had to add my thoughts. And now I must go to bed...and turn off the computer before power outage occurs... and...umm...I'm done now...😉

he's a good actor, i just thot he over-acted in the film .. too much is too much ... you could tell that he was acting..

yes, i agree sean penn did deserve to win. johhny depp deserved that oscar nomination though.

i think johnny did a great job in POTC but i didnt really expect him to win

i think ROTK deserved all of those oscars it was a amazing movie a great way to end a fantastic trilogy 🙂

There are men in LotR! Tolkien wrote his stories as a second history of our world, how the men originated, why there's little people...

🏴‍☠️ Pirates did not win anything b/c if they know that therer is a sequal comming out they tend to not give any oscars to it. See... fellowship and Two towers did not win any b/c there was still a third one comming out. and starwars... episide one and two did not win anything... eather because it did not deserve it ( which is a possibility) or b/c there is still episode 3 comming out summer 2006. everyone knew that LOTR would win everything... but pirates has a second chance!!! Not that Pirates was not one of the best movies ever but LOTR should have won b/c it deserved to!!!

RotK wasn't awarded that much because of how good it was, it was awarded because it ended a whole trilogy.

I think JOHNNY DEPP should of won best actor but LOTR did deserve the visual effects award
