There're many factors that affect one's 'ignorance level' as you put it.

The biggest factor may be sociological/environmental.
Your family, your friends, the inner circle you belong to, the place you live in, the places you go to, what you see/read/hear in TV/radio/magazines/internet.
I believe this is the foremost factor that shapes a person's perspectives in life.

Define "change" surgically i would do nothing, that stuff scares me. But if I had the power to change something myself, it would be my weight - which I am doing yay me!
