league table

what do 'F' 'A' and 'GD' mean in the premiership league table? it's always confused me and its the only reason why arsenal are 1st and chelsea are 2nd. please let me know as soon as possible!!

IMHO :

F = for (goals scored by the team)
A = against (goals scored by the opponents)
GD = goal difference = F-A

Arsenal is first because it has a better goal difference. When the GD is the same, one looks at which team has scored the most.

goal difference is goals scored minus goals conceded
so if a team has scored 10 goals and let in 6...goal difference will be 4

cool thankyou thats been annoying me for ages
