PJ is...

Hhhmm..I expected something like this will happen once ROTK swept the Oscars. 😉 Many people, especially the LOTR fans were ecstatic and almost on top of the world, but many people also (even those who actually enjoyed the LOTR movies and behind their hearts are admiring PJ for what he did) will still contradict. Nobody can please everybody so they say. I've already said this kind of post but I will repeat it again. When anything, even a film, a person, or an object is so well liked and received by a majority of people, it is inevitable that the self-perceived social malcontent will animatedly dislike it for that reason alone.

This will be my last post in this thread. I'm tired of this. I'm still in Cloud 9 so far with all the wins that we've got from the Oscars and I intend to enjoy it to the fullest. 🙂

*sigh* Yet another newbie, yet another fight....🙄 First of all, PJ is the best director there is and he seems like a wonderful person. Second of all, he can wear whatever he wants. No one's making him wear a certain thing. Third of all, if I ever get to go to the Oscars (I'm thinking of becoming an actress, mainly because of Billy haha), I'm definately not wearing a freakin dress. I can't stand dresses. *shudders* And, like Discos, I'd probably wear a kilt haha. Although I'm not Scottish (even though I'd like to be 🙂 ), the day I meet Billy Boyd, I'm gonna get him to sign a kilt (I have it all planned out haha...the day I meet him, I mean) that I will buy and I'd wear that to the Oscars 😄 Even though I dispise dresses and skirts...But it's a kilt! Kilt's are different! Haha. And I applaud (sp?) PJ. He doesn't follow the crowd and he wears what he's comfortable in. Bravo, Peter! Bravo! *claps* And he almost took off his shoes during the awards, too haha. If any of you watched the after show thing on E!, you would have seen the interview with him. I recorded it cause I couldn't stay up that late (freakin school night, you know), but I watched it today and some reporter asked PJ if he wore his shoes throughout the whole thing and he said yeah, but it was "uncomfortable as hell" haha! Well said PJ 😛 And I, personally, thought PJ looked great at the awards. You just don't know what you're talking about, you stupid newbie, Bennett....K, I'm done 😂

Peter Jackson should be able to dress any way he wants and not have people like you going on about how he looked like riff raff or whatever you said. He is one of the best directors of our time! So just get over yourself.

the friend I was watching it with and I laughed so hard when his earlier works were being mentioned and some one in the audience yelled out "whoo!"

I think he looked perfect. I agree Exa. He just wouldn't look right all dressed up fancy. he was an amazxing director and he got rewarded for it. I like that he doesnt care what other people think. those people who buy like million dollar dresses and milllion dollar hair cuts annoy me. it shouldnt matter how you look. nowadays people are so absorbed in what htier wearing or how their hari is cut. The majoratiy dont want to stand out or be unique, they want to dress up fancy, because everyone else is. I respect PJ for not going overboards like most others and just being himself, which is just the way he looked, Like PJ, like a hobbit 🙂

So what if he isn't dressed smartly? And who is to say that this means that he isn't clean?!?!?

And besides, that shouldn't matter. He clearly has a heart of gold and is probably as kind a man as you could ever wish to meet. That is all that matters.

Anyway, just take a look at some of the other actors/actresses. For example: Ian McKellen wasn't clean shaven - does that make him unclean and scruffy???

Peter is great. I think everyone should love him for dressing how he wants to dress. He is original and unique and I love him for it. If I even get the chance to go to the Oscars, I'm either wearing jeans or a kilt. I don't give a damn about what the press or critics or anyone else says and neither does PJ. He's a brilliant director and he doesn't care what people think. I admire him so much for being an individual and not following the stupid mindless zombie crowd of fashion and popularity.
