Well actually, The Americans did in three weeks in Afghanistan what the Russians couldnt achieve. the Russians fdiddnt defeat hitler. It was a combined effort. The russians continued to send out death squads after the Nazi's but it was still a combined effort from the allies to win world warII. However, the American force did give leverage to the allies from taking heavy losses.

Hmmm...A few points
1.) The Russian military of the 1981-1981 Afghan war is essentially the same army they use today. Except for aircraft such as the SU-37 they operate the same weapons and tactics. Russia today has a very powerful army and should not be underestimated. They lost 15,000 in Afghanistan while the Moslems lost 2.4 million. Russia was just very unstable at the time hence the leadership did not exist to execute the war in the right way (the way America did it in October 2001)
2.) The Russians did most of the work in WWII. The Anglo-American forces faced some 600,000 Germans while the Russians fought 3 million. The best German troops were also in the East. And 9 out of 10 Germans killed in WWII were killed by Russia. As for the "Death squads" They did exist. However that was during desperate sieges such as Leningrade. Most of the Russian army operated excellent equipment such as the T-34 tank, the katushya, and Il-26 fighter. The T-34 was the best tank of the war by the way. By May, 1945 when the war was over Russia had the most powerful army in history. Not a single army today came anywhere near the power of the Red army in 1945 (if you put modern weapons and technology in proportion anyway).
3.)Unless you're stupid you can see that I'm Israeli. The Moslems here have been killing children and such since the Sadat declaration in 1973. The best way to deal with terrorism is with massive retaliation. The assassination campagin currently underway by the air force here has stoped almost all suicide attacks except for that one a week ago. By the way before the bus bombing a week ago there was not a single suicide bombing for over 7 months within greater Israel.
4.) Such an action as seen in Beslan could not be repeated in America. There are no significant Moslem populations near America for that to occur and because such an operation would call for dozens of armed terrorists with some heavy equipment. You could not smuggle that unseen.

SU-37 is the best operational fighter to date because the F-22 is not fully ready 😄 ... In actuallity the Russians had better leadership then then now.... Russia lacked the air power we have during that time... they still lack a powerful enough bomber like the B-52 and the US Stingers during the Russian Afgan conflict wreacked havoc on the Mi-6 Hinds and the Havocs 😖
The best tank during the war was the King Tiger and the Sherman M5 with the 120mm cannon and improved armor at the end of the war... it proved itself by taking a king Tiger head on and blasting a hole in it from the front. The Russian army was US supplied during that time and like 30% of thier ammo was US made. The only thing the Russians had was thier numbers and thier supply trains were already at full limit and they were using captured German fuel. Porportianally the allies were better trained and better equiped then the Russians ... along with the fact that the US had the atom bomb monopoly for at least 7 years. no numbers could sustain a atomic attack and Rusia would have been smashed by the overwhelming airpower of the allies.

4) it is possible to smuggle and buy arms rather easily unfourtunetly into the US.... 😬 its a little harder now but it can be done.

Ex-Soviet hardware is cheap and abundant... all third world nations were basically given access to a yardsale during the 70s and 80s and a blowout sale when the Soviet block collapsed... Sadam's entire army was of ex-Soviet design... so is China's.... 😖 Therefore terroristt use AKs because you can get em for $30-50 bucks 😬
