Coaxial or Optical?

I thought, and still think that Optical is a better wire choice for an HT system, but I was supplied with a coaxial cable, too. Is it worth using, or should I stick with optical? I'm thinking I should, but I'm always curious about stuff that I haven't used, but could.

optical is way better (I sell home theater equipment) the digital coax is better then the standard red white cables.. but the optical is by far superior

Phew, that's what I thought, but someone said Coax was better, and I was pretty sure they were wrong. I got optical already, anyway 😄
