“Sora, protect her.”

Kingdom heart sealed as Sora gazed at his best friend Riku. As Kingdom Hearts disappeared Sora looked into the emptiness.

Sora awoke in a sweat. He was lying in a bed in Traverse Town. Sora heard Goofy snoring. Sora stared at the ceiling. He thought about Kairi and Riku and if they were safe. Then he thought of Riku being trapped in Kingdom Hearts forever. The thought troubled Sora deeply. Sora couldn’t stop thinking of Riku and Kairi. The thoughts of them clouded his mind. He couldn’t focus on anything besides them. Even Donald and Goofy started to notice it. He remembered that he promised Riku he would protect Kairi. He wasn’t sure if she was alright. Sora knew what he had to do. Sora grabbed a piece of paper scribbled a note to Donald and Goofy.

Donald, Goofy,

I need to go and fulfill a promise and clear my mind.
-Sora.

Sora walked to the First District of Traverse Town and took a Gummi Ship to Destiny Islands. He landed on the beach and stepped onto the sand. His mind blasted with memories of Riku and Kairi. He ran to his house to see his parents who he hadn’t seen for the longest time. He ran through the door hysterically crying and ran towards his mother and gave her a big hug. He then told her about his adventure. He then asked her if Kairi returned. Before an answer, he ran out of the house and ran towards Kairi’s house. Then he heard a familiar voice.
“Hey Sora.”
Sora turned around and saw Kairi standing their.
“Kairi!” Sora said as he ran over to her.
“Sora, thank you for protecting me.” Kairi said.
Sora hugged Kairi and whispered into her ear
“I wouldn’t have let Ansem hurt you.”
Kairi smiled. Sora let go of her and said
“Riku was trapped in a door. I don’t know if we’ll ever see him again.” Sora said sadly.
Kairi looked at Sora. She then looked at the sand.
“Is he gone…forever?” Kairi asked.
“I don’t know.” Sora replied.
Sora faked a smile.
“Everything’s gonna be okay Kairi.” Sora said with an optimistic tone.
Kairi smiled as the sun started to set. The two of them walked towards the little island where they use to hang out with Riku. They sat down on the floor and Sora told Kairi all about his adventure. It was getting late and Kairi stood up.
“I need to go, I’ll see you tomorrow.” She said as she walked home.
Sora still sat their looking across the ocean.
‘Where are you Riku’ Sora thought to himself. Sora finally stood up and wandered home.

Donald awoke and walked into Sora’s hotel room. Once he saw that Sora wasn’t their, he let out a big scream. Goofy heard him and ran into the room. Donald picked up the note and read it. He turned to Goofy
“It looks like Sora left for a while, who needs him anyway.” Donald said.
“But the King said…”Goofy said.
“Afewy.” Donald said.

Sora woke up and took a shower. He then got dressed and ate breakfast. He walked outside and saw Tidus, Wakka, and Selphi run up to him.
“Sora!” Tidus yelled.
Sora smiled and said “Hey.”
Wakka asked “Where you been man?”
Sora replied “Well, I was in different worlds. I meet so many people and I went on an Adventure of a lifetime.”
Selphi asked “What happened?”
Sora told them everything about his adventure including Riku. Just then Kairi walked down the beach. She walked up to Sora.
“Telling your great hero story again?” Kairi asked.
Sora smiled.
“Come for a walk with me Sora.” Kairi whispered.
“Okay.” Sora said.
Sora stood up and walked to Kairi. They walked over to the race course. Kairi climbed the zip line post and Sora followed. Kairi sat down and Sora sat across from her. Her face showed depression.
“What’s wrong Kairi?” Sora asked.
“Well, last night, in my dreams, Riku came to me. He showed me where he is.” Kairi said.
Sora’s face lit up.
“Where is he Kairi?” Sora asked.
“That’s just it. I don’t know. All he gave me was clues.” Kairi said.
“What did you see?” Sora asked.
Kairi looked up at Sora and said. “Well he showed me blue flames. Also I saw many Heartless. The last thing he showed me was barrel with a yellow barrier.” Kairi said.
Sora’s face looked confused.
‘What are you trying to tell us Riku?’ Sora thought. Sora started to think of all the worlds they went to and the clues Kairi just gave him.
‘Where was their blue fire?’ Sora thought.
Sora thought back to all the worlds.
‘Hm….what about the Heartless. They were all over the place.’ Sora thought.
Sora tried to think where their was the most Heartless.
‘A barrel with a yellow barrier?’ Sora thought.
Sora thought about all the worlds and then it hit him.
“Kairi, I need to leave Destiny Island’s for a while.” Sora said.
Sora went to run away but a hand grabbed his wrists.
“I’m coming with you.” Kairi said.
“Kairi… no, I won’t be able to protect you where I need to go.” Sora said.
Kairi’s grip tightened around Sora’s wrist.
“You won’t have to.” Kairi said.
Sora looked back at Kairi. She was holding a magic staff.
“Kairi…” Sora said.
Kairi held the staff up into the air and a fireball shot out.
“When did you learn?” Sora asked.
“When we were separated.” Kairi said.
“Are you sure Kairi?” Sora asked.
“Positive Sora.” Kairi said.
“Let’s go then.” Sora said with a smile.
The two of them walked to the Gummi Ship. Sora set auto-pilot for a world. Sora couldn’t wait to find Kingdom Hearts again. Sora laid down on a bed. So did Kairi. Kairi and Sora both fell asleep.

Riku is standing in a room with millions of Heartless. All of the heartless jumped at Riku. They started to rip him apart. Riku’s body was bloody and bruised. He tried to fight off the Heartless, but their was too many Riku’s body fell to the floor. The heartless dove on him and devoured his heart. Just then the doors of Kingdom Hearts opened and Sora ran into the room. His eyes filled with tears. He ran over to Riku’s body. He held his best friends lifeless body.

Sora woke up sweating with tears flowing from his eyes. Kairi woke up to see Sora crying. She sat next to him and hugged him.
“What’s wrong Sora?” Kairi asked.
“What if the heartless ripped Riku apart?” Sora said.
Before Kairi could answer Sora said “It would be all my fault.”
Another tear fell from Sora’s eyes.
“Sora, it’s not your fault. You didn’t force him to stay in Kingdom Hearts.” Kairi said.
“No…but I didn’t talk him out of it.” Sora said.
“Sora, you probably weren’t thinking clearly.” Kairi said.
“Still, I should have talked him out of it.” Sora said.
“Riku did this for you and me. He did this for everyone.” Kairi said.
“I guess your right Kairi. And I know I will not give up until I see Riku again.” Sora said.
Just then the Gummi Ship came to a stop. Sora landed the Gummi ship. Kairi and Sora walked off the ship and walked into huge doors. They saw huge statues and huge fire pits. Sora ran across to two doors. Kairi followed.
“Where are we?” She asked.
“Were in Olympia.” Sora said.
Sora and Kairi ran though the doors. They saw a little creature. It was half goat and half human. Sora looked at him.
“Move Phil I need to get to the arena.” Sora said.
“Sorry no can do. A round is going on I promise you as soon as it’s over you can go.”
Sora was mad but listened. He leaned against a wall. Kairi walked up to him.
“How do you know Riku’s here?” Kairi asked.

“Kairi, all the clues pointed here. The blue fire, we faced a enemy here once and he had blue fire coming from his head. The heartless, this is where the most heartless ever was. The barrel with a yellow barrier, when I fought Hercules the only way to beat him was to throw a barrel at him because he had a yellow barrier.” Sora said.
“So Riku should be here?” Kairi asked.
“Yes.” Sora said.
The battle ended and two people walked out from the corridor. One was bloody and walking slow. The other was happy. He was the champion. Sora quickly hopped over the rope with the sign that said ‘closed’ on it. He ran into the middle of the arena and looked everywhere for Kingdom Hearts. Kingdom Hearts was nowhere to be found. Kairi walked out to the arena. She looked around. As soon as she got to Sora she elevated into the area. Her body was stiff as a board.
“Sora.” Kairi said with a deeper voice echoing.
Sora turned around and saw Kairi.
“Kairi!” Sora said.
“She’ll be okay Sora. It’s Riku. We escaped Kingdom Hearts. Were in…” Kairi said with the voice of Riku echoing.
Kairi fell to the floor.
“Kairi!” Sora yelled.
He ran over to her.
“Sora.” Kairi said with no voice echoing.
Sora knew that Riku was gone.
‘At least I know he’s safe.’ Sora thought to him self.
“Sora, I saw some stuff while Riku was talking through me.” Kairi said.
“What did you see Kairi?” Sora asked.
“I saw a big moon. I was walking across a hill and I saw a big moon. It was huge. Right before I saw you, I saw a group of heartless jump at me.” Kairi said.
“Riku…Kairi get to the gummi ship now.” Sora said.
Kairi ran ahead of Sora as she was instructed to do. Sora ran to the gummi ship as well. Sora knew exactly where Riku was. He was in Halloween town atop moonlight hill. Sora plotted a course to Halloween Town. Sora was to worried to fly the ship so he put it on auto-pilot. He sat on the bed next to Kairi’s. Kairi had fallen asleep. Sora laid down on his bed. Sora himself dosed off as well.

Riku brushed his silver hair out of his eyes. He grabbed his sword and went to attack the Heartless. The Heartless quickly disarmed him. They all started to claw and bit at Riku’s flesh. Riku tried to fight them off. Their were too many. The Heartless dug their claws into Riku. Riku was covered in his own blood. They tried getting his heart but were unable to. Instead they scratched him up. Riku was lying on top moonlight hill all bloody and bruised. Riku was fading fast. Then the Heartless slashed his throat and left him their. Riku laid their for a moment unable to breath until he died on moonlight hill.

Sora woke up. Kairi looked at him. She gave him a weird look.
“What’s wrong, you were screaming and crying in your sleep.” Kairi asked.
“Nothing, bad dream.” Sora said.
“Okay.” Kairi said uncertain if she believed that.
The gummi ship stopped moving. Sora and Kairi got off the ship and looked around. Sora was in his demon costume. He looked over at Kairi. She was dressed up as a witch. But not any ordinary witch. Her red hair was longer than usual. She was wearing a short black skirt. She was also wearing a black top with a red Heartless symbol on it. Her staff was long and had a clear ball on its tip. The ball also had a red heartless symbol in it while the shaft was black. She was wearing thick black eyeliner and red eye shadow. Sora ran into the graveyard running right past Jack Skeleton. The gates of the graveyard opened but Sora kept running. He ran straight to moonlight hill. When he got to the top of moonlight hill he saw a puddle of blood. Tears rolled down his tan cheeks and penetrated the soil. Kairi slowly walked up behind him. Sora was on both of his knees crying into his hands. Kairi rested a hand on Sora’s shoulder. Sora kept crying. A tear fell from Kairi’s eye.
“Stop crying Sora.” A voice said.
Sora recognized the voice immediately.
“Where are you Riku?” Sora asked
Sora had stopped crying. Kairi had stopped as well.
“We left this world. The king is searching for a something. I think he called it The Dark Rose. We’re in a strange world. The only thing I see is desert. Sora, chin up I don’t wanna see you crying any more. Okay?” Riku said.
Sora nodded
“Yes Riku I’ll try.” Sora said.
“And Kairi, protect Sora for me will ya?” Riku said.
Kairi giggled and Sora looked frustrated.
“What’s that suppose to mean?” Sora asked.
Riku’s laughter faded away until it was unable to be heard. Sora got up and brushed the dirt off his knees. Kairi looked at Sora. Sora looked at her. A Heartless appeared behind Kairi. Sora flipped over Kairi and the keyblade appeared in his hands and sliced it in half. Kairi turned around.
“Thanks.” She said with a smile.
“And Riku told you to protect me.” Sora said.
Just then a Heartless appeared behind Sora. Kairi saw it and raised her staff. Thunder bolts struck the Heartless. Kairi giggled.
“Com’on lets go.” Sora said.
Sora walked back to the gummi ship and Kairi followed. They boarded the ship and both of their clothes returned to normal. Sora plotted a course for Agrabah. Sora laid back on a bed. He imagined Riku’s face on the ceiling. Kairi went into the bathroom. She took a shower and then got dressed. She walked back into the main room and sat next to Sora. Sora sat up to make room for Kairi.
“What’s up Kairi?” Sora asked.
“Nothing, I just can’t wait until we’re all back on the Island.” Kairi said.
“Me either.” Sora said.
Sora wrapped an arm around Kairi.
“Everything’s gonna be okay Kairi.” Sora said.
Kairi smiled and rested her head on Sora’s shoulder. All of a sudden Sora fell backwards onto the bed. Kairi examined Sora. Sora snored slightly.
“Sora you lazy bum.” She said.
Kairi giggled as Sora woke up. Sora smiled.
“Don’t ever change.” Kairi said.
‘How would I change?’ Sora thought to himself.

Sora laid down on the bed. He took a little nap before the trip to Agrabah.

Sora ran down a passageway. The passageway was lit by dim lanterns. Sora ran to the end of the passageway. There was a big door. Sora leaned against the door.
“Hello?” Sora said.
“Sora, open the door and help me.” Riku’s voice yelled.
Sora pushed against the door with all his might. He put all his weight into it. The door did not budge. Sora backed up then charged at the door. All this did was make his shoulder hurt. Sora fell to his knees and grabbed his shoulder.
“Giving up already?” Riku said.
Sora grit his teeth. He stood up and leaned against the door. He pushed until he couldn’t push anymore. Sora fell to the floor unable to move.
“You’ll never be able to save anyone, not even yourself.” Riku said.
Sora sat their crying. He gave up trying to open the door.

Sora woke up to a big thump. Sora looked out the window. He saw another gummi ship. He was looked into the ship and saw a sight that he would give anything to see. He saw Riku. Sora leaned up to the glass. He didn’t even know that their ships were going down. Luckily for them a world was close. Sora realized they were damaged and going down.
“Kairi get down and brace yourself.” Sora yelled.
Kairi eyes filled with tears of fear. She tied herself down to a bed. Sora buckled himself into the pilots’ chair.
“It’ll be okay Kairi.” Sora yelled.
Sora braced himself and so did Kairi. Sora looked into the other ship. Riku was bracing himself as well as King Mickey. Sora squeezed his eyes shut as the ship approached the ground. Kairi let out a loud pitch scream. Then there was a huge rumble as the ship crashed onto the ground. Sora unbuckled himself and crawled over to Kairi. She was unconscious. Sora took out a potion and gave it to Kairi. Kairi stirred and opened her eyes slowly. Sora than took a potion himself.
“Sora.” Kairi whispered.
“What?” Sora said.
“Are you okay?” She asked.
“I’m fine. What about you?” Sora said.
“I’m okay too.” Kairi said.
Sora stood up. He reached out and helped Kairi up. Sora ran off the ship and looked for the other ship. He saw it and ran over to it. He jumped in and looked around for anyone. He saw no sign of Riku or King Mickey. He got out and walked over to Kairi. He looked around at the world. It was like no world he ever saw before. There was a flight of steps leading down. Sora ran down them. There was a door at the bottom of the steps. It was open. Sora ran in and then it closed leaving Kairi out. Kairi tried to get it open but couldn’t Sora was running down a path lit by dim lanterns. Sora kept running, now he was sprinting down the hall.
‘I know this place.’ Sora thought to himself.
Sora kept running down the path. He reached the door that was in his dream. Sora ran up
to it and leaned against it
“Hello?” Sora said.
“Sora, open the door and help me.” Riku’s voice yelled.
Sora pushed against the door with all his might. He put all his weight into it. The door did not budge. Sora backed up then charged at the door. All this did was make his shoulder hurt. Sora fell to his knees and grabbed his shoulder.
“Giving up already?” Riku said.

Sora grit his teeth. He stood up and leaned against the door. He pushed until he couldn’t push anymore. Sora fell to the floor unable to move.
“You’ll never be able to save anyone, not even yourself.” Riku said.
Sora looked up at the door.
“You’re wrong.” Sora said
Sora stood up. He leaned against the door once again. Sora pushed against the door. It cracked open. Sora looked in he saw Riku. Riku slid his hand through the crack. He pulled on the door.
“Push Sora!” Riku yelled.
Sora nodded and leaned against the door. He pushed with all the strength he had left. The door opened a bit more. Riku got a better grip. He pulled with all his strength as Sora pushed. The door opened even more. Sora pushed as hard as he could and the door flew open causing Sora to fall, knocking Riku over. Sora was lying next to Riku on his Side. Sora looked at Riku
“You’re so clumsy Sora.” Riku said with a laugh.
Sora smiled as he got up. Sora helped Riku to his feat. Sora hugged Riku, knocking them down again. Sora smiled still clinging to Riku.
Riku laughed as he said “Good to see you too Sora.”
Sora smiled. Then he remembered Kairi.
“Kairi” Sora said. “Riku, we need to get Kairi. She’s on the other side of the door.”
Riku nodded. They both ran into the hall and down the passageway. They got to another huge door.
“Kairi are you there?” Sora asked.
“Sora!” Kairi yelled.
Riku and Sora grabbed the handle to the door. They pulled with all their might. The door opened a crack. They saw Kairi’s blue eyes looking in. The two of them pulled harder then they thought they could. The door flew open and Sora fell on top of Riku. Sora laughed as he got off his friend. Kairi walked in. The three of them walked down the hall. They entered the room where Riku and Sora were reunited. They saw another huge door.
“I’ll let you guess who’s behind that door.” Riku said.
“Um…King Mickey?” Sora said unsure.
“Yeah. Lets get it open it. He’ll know what to do with the fact that both Gummi Ships are crashed.” Riku said.
Sora smiled as the three of them walked to the door. They leaned against it. They all pushed against it but it didn’t budge. They pushed as hard as they could but it still did not open.
“Back up, I have an Idea.” Sora said.
Riku and Kairi backed up. Sora took out the keyblade. Sora started to strike the door. The wood that made the door started to chip. Riku walked up to Sora.
“Let me help.” Riku said.
Riku took out his sword and started to hit the door as well. The door chipped more.
“Move!” Kairi yelled.
Riku and Sora looked back and saw Kairi holding her purple staff. The two looked at each other and then jumped out of the way. Kairi raised her staff and shot a fire ball at the door. The door opened and the trio ran in. They saw King Mickey lying on the floor unconscious. A huge beast was hovering over him. The beast had black skin and a huge horn. It also had huge fangs. Its back had the red Heartless symbol on it.

The three of them ran into the room with the beast in it. They all ran it him, Kairi casting spells and Riku and Sora nailing powerful blows on it. The beast swung its massive arm across the floor. Both Sora and Riku jumped over it, but Kairi was swept away. She flew into the wall. She then fell to the floor.
“Kairi!” Sora yelled.
“Don’t get distracted, the King has potions.” Riku said.
Sora nodded and threw his keyblade at the beast. The monster fell to its back. Sora ran to the King. Little did he know the Heartless wasn’t dead. Sora kneeled next to the King, checking to see if he’s okay. The Heartless got up and grabbed Sora. Riku’s eyes filled with fear. The heartless threw Sora into a wall, knocking him unconscious. Riku was pissed.
“Nobody hurts Sora!” Riku yelled.
Riku ran up to the Heartless and let out a huge string of combo attacks. He then threw his sword at the beast it self. The Heartless fell to the floor dead. Riku turned around and ran to Sora. Riku dropped to his knees. Riku wrapped is arms around Sora and held him in his arms. Sora wasn’t moving. Riku began to cry. Tears rolled down his cheeks and landed on Sora’s face. Riku was hunched over him.
‘Sora, you can’t die on me, I love you.’ Riku thought to himself.
‘I’ve loved you since I first laid eyes on you.’ He thought.
Kairi got up and saw Riku holding Sora.
‘No…Sora can’t be…Sora’s not dead is he? He can’t be! I love him!’ Kairi thought to herself.
Kairi ran over to Sora and Riku. She placed a hand on Riku’s shoulder. She saw Riku crying and began to cry herself.
“Riku…is he…” Kairi said.
“Dead? I don’t know.” Riku replied.
The King stood up.
“Need some help?” King Mickey said.
“Help Sora.” Riku said.
The King nodded. He grabbed a bottle and threw it at Sora. Dora stirred. Riku’s eyes widened as he whipped away his tears. Sora opened his eyes and saw Riku. He then noticed he was in Riku’s arms. Riku helped Sora to his feet. Riku then filled him in on what happened. Then they told The King about the ships. The four of them walked out of the rooms and walked to the ships. The king saw how bad the ships were destroyed.
“There are enough parts to recreate one ship, but only two people will be able to fit in it. Two of us will go and get another ship.” The king said.
“Take Kairi.” Sora said.
“Are you sure Sora?” Kairi asked.
“Yes Kairi, Riku and I will be able to protect our selves. “ Sora said.
The king rebuilt a ship while Sora, Riku, and Kairi talked amongst each other. The ship was finished.
“Bye Kairi. King Mickey, Donald and Goofy are in Traverse Town.” Sora said.
Kairi and King Mickey nodded. Sora turned his head to Riku.
“Looks like it’s you and me for a while.” Sora said with a smile.
‘Yes, I’m on a deserted place with the one person I love more than life it self.’ Riku thought with a smile on his face.

As the gummi ship took off, Sora turned to Riku.
“What do you wanna do Riku?” Sora asked.
“Um…I don’t know.” Riku said.
Just then a heartless popped out of nowhere. Sora grabbed his keyblade and Riku grabbed his sword. They jumped at it. They both swung their swords at it, destroying the heartless. Sora felt wet drops falling on his body. He looked up and saw raindrops falling on his head. The cold rain landed on his face. Sora felt something grab his wrist. He looked to see Riku holding onto his wrist.
“Come on Sora, we don’t wanna get wet.” Riku said.
Riku pulled Sora down the steps and into the room where they were reunited. Riku made a fire as Sora laid down. The sun was setting. Riku looked back at Sora and saw him asleep.
‘He’s so gorgeous.’ Riku thought to himself.
Sora rolled over as Riku finished with the fire. Sora felt the warmth of the fire and woke up. He saw Riku sitting, looking at him in deep thought.
“Riku?” Sora said.
Riku snapped back into reality
“Yeah?” Riku said.
“What were you thins about?” Sora asked.
“Uh…” Riku said.
‘I was thinking about how much I love you, but I can’t tell you, you’ll freak out.’ Riku though.
“I was thinking about…the island.” Riku said.
“Oh.” Sora said with a smile.
Riku was looking at Sora when two tentacles came out of the wall and wrapped them selves around Sora. Sora’s eyes widened with fear.
“Riku!” Sora yelled.
Sora reached his arm out to grab Riku.
“Sora!” Riku yelled.
Riku reached his arm out to grab Sora’s. The tentacles started to pull Sora away. Riku chased the tentacles down into another room.
“Riku!” Sora yelled.
Riku looked around and saw a swarm of heartless running towards him, but he didn’t care. The one person he loved more than anything was in danger. Riku was running as fast as he could just to stay close to the tentacles. Riku was able to grab Sora’s hand.
“Don’t let go Sora.” Riku said.
“I won’t.” Sora said.
Riku tried to free Sora by attacking the tentacles. The heartless were gaining on them. The tentacles were loosening their grip on Sora. But the heartless had caught up. The heartless jumped onto Riku’s back. They were pulling him away from Sora. More heartless jumped on his back. They were pulling with all their might. Sora’s grip loosened. Riku’s eye’s widened as Sora’s hand slipped away from of his. He fell back into the Swarm of the heartless. Riku saw that the tentacles were retreating into a darkness portal.
‘The portal will take him away. I need to tell Sora how I feel’ Riku thought.
Right before they entered Riku yelled “I love you Sora.”

Riku fought off the heartless on his back. He looked back to the darkness portal. It was gone. The millions of Heartless were still running at Riku. Riku was unarmed. He saw a broom.
“It’ll do.” Riku said.
Riku reached out and grabbed it. He twirled it as the Heartless got closer. Riku jumped into them and started to strike them. Riku stabbed one through its chest, then another through its face. Riku then hit one into the wall.
‘I can’t kill all of them, theirs too many.’ Riku thought.
Riku began to twirl the broom. Riku walked through the Heartless. Riku smirked as the broom chopped all the Heartless up. Their blood was all over the walls of the hall. Just then huge heartless stepped in front of Riku. When the broom met with their body it snapped.
‘Crap.’ Riku thought.
Riku tried to punch it in its stomach but his arm just bounced back.
‘What?!?!’ Riku thought.
Riku fell onto his back and slid through the Heartless’s legs. Riku kick the Heartless in its back. The Heartless went flying into the wall. Its head was crushed. Blood shoot out everywhere. Riku kicked the other huge Heartless. It fell down to the floor. Riku jumped onto its back and was hurled up into the air. Riku grabbed a pole that ran across the ceiling. He then lifted his legs up and wrapped them around the pole. Riku shimmied across the pole. Riku got to one of the walls and saw an air vent.
‘I can crawl through the ducts and get away.’ Riku thought.
Riku kicked the vent open. He looked in and saw it was a duct that leads straight down.
‘Yikes, that’s a big drop.’ Riku thought.
Riku sat on the edge and but his legs in the duct. Riku swallowed as he lowered himself. Riku was holding onto the edge when the doors flew open to the hallway and a huge fire ball blasted through killing all the heartless. Riku pulled himself up and looked through the door way. He saw Kairi holding her staff. It was crosses with another staff. Riku looked to see who was holding it. He saw Donald and Goofy.
‘It’s that dam Duck that wouldn’t let me be with Sora in Traverse Town.’ Riku thought.
Riku let go of the ledge and fell down the duct. As it got close to the bottom Riku reached out and planted his hands on the walls slowing him down.
‘Ow this burns so bad.’ Riku thought as he fell.
Riku slowed down enough that he did not get crushed when his feet touched the floor. Riku kicked open the vent and crawled out of the duct. Riku got up and walked over to Kairi.
“Kairi, a heartless captured Sora, we need to get him back” Riku said.
“What happened where did he go?” Kairi asked.
“The Heartless’s tentacles grabbed on to him and took him into a darkness portal.” Riku said.
“I know where he took Sora.” King Mickey said.
“You do?” Goofy said.
“Yes Goofy I do. But you and Donald need to go back to the Kingdom and guard Miney and Daisy.” King Mickey said.
“Okay your highness.” Donald and Goofy said.
“Now, Riku, Kairi lets go.” King Mickey said.

Sora woke up and was in a strange room he never saw before. He looked around. The room was a huge circle. The floor was glass. He saw a red river flowing 100 feet below him. Sora tried to get up and run to a door. He was running then felt something pull him back. He looked at wrists and saw that he was chained to the walls. Sora tried to break the chains by yanking at them. Then he heard a familiar voice.
“Their indescribable.” The voice said.
Sora turned around to see Maleficent standing their.
“You!!” Sora yelled.

Riku and Kairi sat in King Mickey’s Gummi ship.
“So Sora is at Maleficent’s castle?” Riku asked.
“Yes.” King Mickey said.
Riku walked to a bed and laid down on it. Riku closed his eyes and saw Sora’s face.
‘What was I thinking when I told you.’ Thought Riku.
‘You’re probably freaking out right now.’ Riku thought.

“Maleficent, your plan will never work!” Sora yelled.
“Oh but it is working.” Maleficent said with a smirk.
Sora tried to run towards Maleficent. The chains stopped him a couple of inches from her. Sora jumped and kicked her in her chest. Maleficent flew back into a wall. Her eyes narrowed as she raised her staff. A black ball formed at the tip of the staff. She shot it at Sora. Sora flew back landing on the floor.
“Like I said, my plan is working, lover boy is on his way as we speak.” Maleficent said leaving the room. Sora sat up. Sora just then remembered what Riku said before.
‘Did Riku really mean that?’ Sora wondered.

The gummi ship landed. Riku ran off the ship and looked for Sora and the castle. Riku was standing on a large rock in the middle of a red river. Kairi got out of the ship and walked towards Riku. Riku saw an elevated castle in the distance. Kairi saw steps at the river bend.
“Riku the river bend.” Kairi said.
Riku nodded as he saw the steps leading to the castle. Riku ran to the edge before King Mickey could stop him.
“Riku! The river is an unusual river. The red water is from blood. There are Heartless all in the river. They devour anything that enters it.” King Mickey said.
‘How will I get to Sora?’ Riku thought.

Sora laid on the floor in a lot of pain. He looked out the glass floor and saw Riku and Kairi. Sora banged on the floor.
“RIKU!!!” Sora yelled.
Then he watched as Riku went towards the river. Sora himself did not understand the river. Sora was watching when he felt a staff dig into his back. Sora gasped in pain as the staff pierced his skin. Maleficent withdrew her staff. Sora grabbed his back to try to stop the bleeding. Sora passed out from blood loss as Maleficent left the room.

Riku looked up and was shocked at what he saw. About 100 feet up he saw Sora lying in a puddle of his own blood. He quickly jumped from rock to rock. He landed on the riverbank near the steps. He ran up the steps towards the castle. Riku kicked the doors open and ran inside. Riku saw that all the floors were glass and the walls were blood red. Riku ran into the hallway leading to the room which Sora was in. When he stepped on the glass in the hall it started to crack. Riku ran through it quickly cracking the glass. Riku made it into the round room and ran over to Sora. Riku held Sora in his arms. A tear fell from Riku’s eyes and landed in the puddle of blood. Riku pulled Sora up for a hug. Riku held Sora tightly in his grip. Sora’s eyes opened and saw Riku hugging him. Riku saw that Sora had awoken.
“Sora…” Riku said.
“Riku!” Sora yelled.
Maleficent entered the room.
“So I see you’ve come back for your boyfriend Riku.” She said.
Riku’s eyes narrowed as sprung up and grabbed his sword.
“Don’t talk about Sora like that!” Riku yelled.
Riku ran toward Maleficent with his sword drawn.
“Silly boy.” Maleficent said.
She lifted her arm and a blast flew at Riku. He was propelled backwards and hit the wall.
“Heartless!” Maleficent yelled.
Riku felt the whole room shake. One of the doors to the room flew open. The door almost hit Riku but he dived out of the way. A huge heartless entered the room from the doorway. It was a huge white blob. It had a baby blue heartless sign on its stomach. When it took its first step into the room, the glass the floor started to crack.
“Too much weight…save yourself Riku.” Sora said still laying on the ground. Riku shook his head. “No Sora, I need you.” Riku said running to the corner of the room. “The chains will stop you from falling into the river.” Riku said.
The heartless charged at Riku in the corner, cracking the glass.
“Riku!” Sora yelled as the floor cracked more.
Riku flashed Sora a smile.
‘There is no better way to die than for the one person you love more than anything.’ Riku thought.
The glass shattered. Everything seemed to be in slow motion for Sora. His eyes widened as Riku and he started to fall. The Heartless fell fastest. Sora reached out to Riku, trying to grab his arms. Sora saw Riku’s lips start to move.
“I love you, take care.” Riku whispered.
“Riku!” Sora yelled as tears fell from his eyes.
The chains yanked at his arms causing him to stop falling. Riku kept falling. Riku landed in the red river. There was huge splash as red water flew everywhere. The current was strong and pushed Riku fast. Sora was crying uncontrollably when he saw a hand rise out of the water. Sora was filled with delight at the sight of Riku’s hand, but then the arm was yanked down. Sora knew what happened and started to cry non stop.
‘Riku’s dead and it’s all my fault. He’s the only one who truly loved me…he was always their for me. I…love him.’ Sora thought as tears flowed from his eyes.

~*~*~One Week later.~*~*~

Sora woke up in his bed all sweaty.
‘Another dream. It seemed so real. Riku, your face still haunts my dreams.’ Sora thought.
Sora got out of bed and strolled into the shower. After washing himself he went into his room. Sora crawled back into his bed wearing a loose T-shirt and baggy shorts. Sora pulled the covers up to his neck and grabbed his laptop. He put in his CD. He then closed the laptop and laid down.
I’m so tired of being here
Suppressed by all of my childish fears
And if you have to leave

Because your presence still lingers here

Sora laid back, listing to the music.
‘Riku…why did you have to do that?” Sora thought.
These wounds won't seem to heal
This pain is just too real

And I’ve held your hand through all of these years

Sora was listing to the lyrics of the song. They mad him think more about Riku. Sora couldn’t get Riku off his mind. Sora kept dreaming about Riku’s death. Sora didn’t leave his room since he got back to Island. The only reason he took a shower that today was today was Riku’s funeral. They were setting his boat out to sea lit on fire.

The song left Sora in tears. Sora whipped the tears from his eyes. The phone rang.
“Hello?” Sora said.
“It’s time.” A sniffling Kairi said.
“Okay, I’ll be at the beach soon.” Sora said.
