Wat Tambor and the techno union in ep3

Something occured to me when I first saw Wat Tambor in AOTC. At First I thought it may have a bearing on vader and his creation, but once I read about grevious it seems may be there is a bit of a theme here starting with AOTC that will lead us directly through ROTS.
To quote from the episode 3 databank on the original site:

"As befitting a technocrat, Wat Tambor is entirely encased in machinery and is even reliant on technology to speak. His deep, resonant voice is strangely mechanical, modulated by a set of dials built into his torso. "

That seem to ring any bell's? We've been lead to belive that Grevious is basically a sort of 'super driod' as it were. Part Alien and part driod. Now as the techno union make the driods [correct me if I'm wrong plz] It would make sense that grevious was created or deveoped by the techno union on the order of the sith or dooku misleading them.
With Grevious being sort of a prototype Vader we can draw a conclusion from this that the voice sound for Grevious will be somewhere in between Wat Tambor's voice box and Vader's. (Although I still think it would be good for him to have a sort of rougher version of the vader voice by James Earl Jones).

Wat Tambor

Anyone else got any thoughts on this? Incidently i was watching some lucas interviews from the Lazer disk rips I have and it was interesting to note that he mentions about a battle on the wookie home planet that he removed from ep4 in an early draft. Looks like he's definatly recycling ideas eh?

Wayne...

i agree with u rob

thats gotta be where grevious & vader technology comes from

but could be galaxywide this process is.......

whoaaaaa, I don't even remember that guy 😖 granted, I only saw AOTC once, can anyone refresh my memory on who that guy is or what he did? 😮

wat tambor, head of the techno union, he's at the table on geonosis when obi wan gets caputred, saying something like " the techno union eyyyy toooooo eyyy grioooooooo agrees with separist movement"

see pic

" wait, i think i hear something"...........

Yeah I always thought he sounded like he needed a good kick to get his voice unit working correctly LOL 😛
I always saw Wat Tambor as a bit of forshadowing by lucas hinting at what was to come. Maybe he wanted to show that the 'vader suit' didnt just appear out of thin air and that it was the result of a gradual increase in technology.
Mind you war's always bring technology on in leaps and bounds. Take the world wars. Amazing leaps were made during each of them. If that was mirrored in the star wars universe it could maybe explain the 'journey' towards Vaders suit.

Wayne...

maybe your right wayne....

the whole droid thing does fit in with the vader being a cyborg an all.

england 2 poland 1

they pleged to help dooku but probibley help palpatine out after dooku is killed because I think they might have helped build the death star.

everytime i see that guy in AOTC, i feel stoned becouse i just laugh my a** off.....

...........he reminds me of that guy in south park that needs that throat thing to talk, the situation would'nt be funny but the sound is .....

I think part of his company was taken down in the clone wars cartoon or was that someone else.

I thought Tambor was foreshadowing, too. Only makes sense to subtly show
the evolution of respiration technology..

part of his company was destroyed in the cartoon

if hes in ep3 it will be at the start

And then...?

That was the Banking Clan (EU- verboten here)

okay thanks Cipher.

interesting observation...it does seem that GG and Vader are creations of technology borrowed from the TU.

Maybe...

the appearance of Tambor and the techno union is a for shadowing of many things to come I felt.....even before Grievious is ever mention I thought the techno union affiliation with Sidious would be a for shadow of technology to be used in creating Darth Vader, especially after we see the plans for the death star at the end of AOTC.....

Maybe...
