Metropolis SCU-possible series?

Some friends and I were talking about what would make a good new TV series. I suggested a series focusing on the Metropolis SCU from the Superman comics.

In the comics, the SCU (Special Crimes Unit) is an elite police unit trained to take on super-villains, alien invasions etc. I think it would be a great idea, combining comic book action with a police drama.

What do you think?

Interesting. You know that the Gotham Police Department have their own series? I'm wondering if DC could support two police-drama style comics.

I think DC probably could support two police-drama style series so long as they were careful.

However my comment was whether a TV series (not a comic) could be done about the Metropolis SCU.
