Maybe at one time there was nothing wrong with Emo. Now just about every band associated with Emo are what's wrong with it IMO.

yeah, cause those bands that are called emo today have nothing to do with true emo. It's only the fact that Rolling STone, MTV and Spin magazine don't know what they are talking about.

Glassjaw is more screamo. Emo is Dashboard and Taking Back Sunday. Not Glassjaw.
Anywho the last CD I downloaded (because of a lack of funding) was Poison the Well - Tear from the Red.

Dashboard and Taking Back Sunday have nothing to do with the emo movement...they are about 10-15 years too late for that - and stylistically are very different than what is emo.

I'm not saying they started the emo movement, but they are most definitely in the emo genre. So are Daphne Loves Derby, Matchbook Romance, American Football, etc.

No, no they are not. They have never been emo, they have nothing to do with the emo movement and never had. that is like calling blur a British Invasion band.

Plus I never said those bands were anything influential, but they are much more emo than Glassjaw.
