a B-Horror shot in Mississsippi early 80's called The Beast Within...anyone out there ever seen this weird-one? about a guy who sheds his skin...there's a MONSTER under there... really strange

I've seen that! And, it was definitely filmed in Mississippi. I had a college roommate from Mississippi and parts of the film were filmed on land her grandparents owned...her claim to fame, I guess!

Wasn't almost as if the teenager in the movie shed his skin to become like a giant cicada?
