Scary Movie 3 Team Tackles Superhero!

Dimension Films has set its "Scary Movie 3" team of David Zucker, Craig Mazin and Robert Weiss to tackle Superhero!, reports Variety.

The trade says the comedy will poke fun at the multitude of superhero films, from Spider-Man to next summer's Batman Begins and Fantastic Four. Mazin will script, Zucker will direct and Weiss is producing.

The trio also is continuing work on "Scary Movie 4," which is a Dimension priority given that the third film made $110 million.

Dimension Films co-chairman Bob Weinstein and co-presidents Brad Weston and Andrew Rona signed them to work on both the Superhero! and "Scary Movie 4" scripts at the same time. It is considered likely that Superhero! will go into production next spring, with "Scary Movie 4" to follow.

Scary movie sucks. The humour just seems so fake and well... not funny. I liked the first one and the second one wasnt too bad but the 3rd was milked like a cow. And now they decide it would be a good idea to do the same with superhero movies..... gay.

The main reason why the third was so terrible was because all of the Wayans brothers left the franchise and then it was taken over by untalented filmmakers and writers who just tried to make money from the name. Superhero sounds like a bad idea to me. Also I don't really feel like watching great films and characters like Spider-Man 1 and 2, X-Men, and The Punisher made fun of by these untalented hacks.

If they had the Wayans do it id go see it. I boycotted SM3.

Yeah I also boycot SM3. I don't think the Wyans would have done a Superhero spoof film though.

I dont think the Wayan brothers would have made any affect on SM3 because it was so badly done, the comedy would have still been the same, but with different people.

The Wayans would have written, directed, and starred in the film so they would have had a HUGE affect on SM3.

I liked the third one. It was the funniest. 😛

I think the first was the funniest.
