See in Matrix: Revolutions, I thought it was a good movie a really good movie. But I don't understand was what happened to Neo? Did he die or something and where were the robots taking him? plus...The Oracle said to Sati (SP?) that they will see Neo hopefully in a different form or something? so many things. And as this Matrix Online thing gets going, it is a continuation of the Matrix trilogy?
Neo is not dead. I have explained why i believe this to be true many times, but in short, my main reason is the lotus blossom. When Neo's limp body is taken away on what seems to be a funerary barge, the light from his body, taken with the light from the tendrils on the barge, seem to make a Lotus Blossom, opening for the first time. In Hindu beliefs, the Lotus is symbolic of Man, rising up from the muck of society (the dirty river) to be revealed as pure, without blemish (perfect white blossom). In this way, Man reaches Divinity. Also, Neo's body is glowing. When Neo is walking through the halls, his body is not glowing, being a sort of negative in the light of the machines. After Neo sacrifices himself to destroy Smith, his body is glowing, which means that is is completely connected to the Matrix, and the machines, and this means that he is not dead. So, i believe that Neo is not dead, but rather transcended, and he is either connected to, or living in, the Matrix, but in a form that is unhuman, rather deified. However, i do believe that he is still alive in the Real world. He is similar to the King Arthur Legends, or the legend of the Norweigian King, both of which are destined to return to their kingdoms in the time of greatest need.
Yeah, that's along the same lines as why they didn't already have a permanent EMP in Zion already, but you have to have things like that so you can actually have a good story. Just as in Star Wars, if the guy on the Star Destroyer wouldn't have stopped the gunners from destroying the pod 3P0 and R2 D2 were on, the whole Star Wars trilogy would never have happened.
