Problem with AIM

I was just wondering if anyone could help me with this problem. Everytime I go to IM someone or someone IM's me it says an error has occured and needs to shut down, it says something about kernel32.dll in the error report, and calls it a "Signature Error". If anyone can help that would be great. Thanks.

delete kernel32.dll

Alright tried that but wouldnt let me delete it...anything else?

close AIM and delete it? reinstall AIM? get the latest version of AIM?

Good god don't delete that kernel file! That is the core of Windows!
