Dude I know exactly what you mean, They put me in spanish 4, and 5. I pretty much faild spanish 2 and never took 3. However they say I have the credit and refuse to take me out........Why cant my school provided German 🙁
Aslo as to stay on topic. I like the way they sound, in english better. They sound like chpmonks in Jap, however, I hate the constant starting over they do, so its better imho to just whatch it all in Jap, and read the sub tittles.

Lucky bastardManga is a great way to do it, the only issue I have is I like actually seing it, you cant get sess movies in manga. Or like when Naraku flees its much better on screen. No Im not saying its cool when he flees, I just like how the smoke and **** apear.
