i always liked the ewoks.. it's only been in recent years that i found out there was some kinda fan hatred of them.

oh bleh thats not an answer....WHY do you hate them.
they cut the wookies in half (figuratively speaking) to create ewoks....the story is that wookies would be too technologically advanced for that part in the storyline....my addition is that they never would have been taken captive, because chewie is a wookie, so they would have had to figure out a way to place chewie somewhere else at that point in the story, and was too much trouble.....
i hate speilberg with a passion....i would prefer the ewoks had directed rotj....
