Why would it make sense to put Ultimate Venom in a movie named after the real Spider-Man? I realize that Movie!Spidey is absolutely nothing like the real one except for the costume design and a few of his powers, but he's nothing like Ultimate Spider-Man, either.
Even within the context of these films-- which are deliberately watered down and shallow as compared to what they could easily be given the fantastic casting choices they've made-- it would not make sense to cast Topher Grace as Eddie Brock. So far, they've made excellent decisions regarding casting (except for Mary Jane) and horrendous decisions involving script, so why should they break the pattern now? Why have both the casting and the writing be equally terrible instead of having that massive discrepency in quality that is there trademark?
I'm not saying I would mind if Topher Grace was cast as Venom. I want this film series to be revealed as the crap that it is, so this would only prove my point definitively. Just thought I'd point out that you don't have anything even resembling an argument. It's my nature to tell the truth.
