Exactly. The normal case is that the sequel is either "meh" or not as good as the first. Then the sequel that tops it is rare, but is more easily achieved than the third film topping both. IE, Terminator, T2, and T3. Terminator is great, T2 is the best, T3 sucked.
Back for the OT Star Wars kids, usually people think that it went 5-4-6, I think 5-6-4 however but you know.
Godfather, Godfather 2, Godfather 3 which is almost always excluded
Matrix, and so on.
So its rare, and I'm just hoping that Raimi goes all out and just kicks some ass with this. I want this to be good enough that they say "we'd be stupid not to make 4..."
Of course there's always the possibility that Grace isn't playing Venom at all, just Brock. Think about it, if Church were to say: "I'm going to be starring as Flint Marko." The general public would be like: "Who the hell is that?" But if he were to say: "I'm starring as Sandman." People would say: "Hey, Sandman.." See what I'm getting at?
