(Next afternoon how bout?)

Hannah ran her hand through her raven hair absently, in a daze. She had butterflies in her stomcah, and all she could think about was Gabriel. 'That's wierd...' she thought, 'usually I never think twice about boys like this...funny..' She yawned again, in the middle of a History class with antient Binns. They were supposed to be taking notes on the Giant War, but she was staring out the window at the darkening sky....class would soon be over! Yay!

Tris shoved Hannah slightly and she pointed her finger at Binns.

"You better pay attention or else you'll get a big fat F on the next quiz, you know," hissed Tris into Hannah's ear by the way that they had devised so that they could talk in class. It was more efficent than the old way of taking notes. "Why do you keep on staring out of the window?" Tris started to resume taking notes before the bell overhead sounded making everyone jump out of their seats.

Vlad slipped into class and sat down int he last desk by the window next to Hannah and Tris "Your going out with gabirle!!" exclamed Vlad but quitely.

Hannah's head snap up at him. She kicked him, looking at Binns. But the old ghost hadn't noticed a thing.

"Am NOT!" She hissed angrily. "Where'd you figure that!?"

"You guys the bell just rang. Can't we do this after class?" asked Tris tiredly. She gathered her school books and headed for the door.

A fight was starting to take place in the corridor.

Hannah nodded and also gathered her bag, following Tris out the dorr with Vlad on her heels.

"What's going on?" Hannah asked- she couldn't see very well.

"I can't see with all this heads in the way," said Tris. A kid turned around and stuck his tongue out at her.

They heard the sounds of fists colliding with bones and such.

Hannah winced. She hardly wanted to see a fight. "No, let's go..." She said, and began turning the other way, moving as swiftly as she could through the forming crowd.

"Wait! Can't you see who's coming?" asked Tris. She pointed down the hall toward the approaching Filtch. Knowing him he would give the fighters extra detention.

"Yeah, but I dont like to see fights..." She said without looking back. She hated fights, she hated violence. It was because how she grew up. Tris didn't know this. "I'm going, you can stay if you want..."

"I'm coming I just wanted to see how long it took Filtch to come. I've noticed that if it's something really important he will be there within five minutes if not he'll be there in 6-10 minutes."

Hannah nodded, although she could hardly focuse. "Let's go to dinner. Maybe we can get the good seats away from those annoying first years this time?" She giggled.

"Especially Sherry," said Tris under her breath. She knew that Hannah knew what she said even if she only saw her form the words. "Are you going to eat the blueberry pie again? That was heavenly."

"Mmm, maybe. It was good, but i'm not too hungry. i'm nervous!" She admitted, sitting down and picking at mashed potatoes and roast. It looked delicious, but she only managed to eat half of it.

"What's wrong Lynn?" asked Tris. She put down her piece of blueberry pie and gave her friend the what's-wrong-and-why-are-you-not-happy look.

Hannah couldn't help but laugh at her expression. "No, i'm fine! Fine, happy happy!" She told Tris, grinning as she started to pick up a slice of pie and put it on her plate.

"I know you're lying. You're way to obvious you know," said Tris quietly. She wadded up her napkin before she got stray pieces of pie crumbs from her mouth. She gave her friend an intent look.

Her shoulders slumped. "Meh," She gave as a reply, turning her attention to Gabriel quickly, just a glance. He was sitting at the Slytherin table, not really speaking to the other Slytherins around him. Hannah then turned back to Tris. "I'm fine, REALLY!"

"All right I get the message," said Tris as she backed off. Her quiet voice returned and was good enough not to give away her feelings. They seemed to be wanting to surface any moment now. She couldn't let them now or they would show she was weak.

Hannah didn't notice Tris' sudden change of mood. She was found staring at the Slytherin table again- she couldn't help herself. Finally she returned back to reality. "Tris...what wrong...?"
