((Heh, heh. I didn't know there was snow on the ground. ^_^' My, my....silly me. I've got to read more closely.....*looks at posts* Gah! I almost forgot about my own charrie! I guess that's my cue to get a-posting. 😄))
While the moments passed, the sun slowly crept above the horizon. The soft beams of light that emitted from the sphere touched all things surrounding, making everything a tint golden glow. As the rays hit his eyes, Tsume awakened and came back to the reality that encompassed him. Still in human form, he looked down, then shifted his gaze to the side. Noticing the atmosphere around him was at rest, the grey wolf gave a short sigh. Rising to his feet, he saw Kouhai still in a slumber and almost woke her, but decided it best not to. Off in the near distance, the other wolves were enjoying the peaceful morning, as if nothing else mattered. He turned slightly and began to walk in the opposite direction of the others, thoughts of the recent past filling his mind.
After a short while, the silence was broken by a quiet moan. <>Ugh. Is it morning already?<> Kouhai put a hand to her head and opened her eyes slowly. She stared at the ground for a moment, her body stiff from being out of it for so long.
<>So. You gonna get up now? You've been asleep for quite some time now. And not to mention your being unconscious before. Are you finally ready to stand up?<>
Kouhai's head snapped up quickly at Tsume's words. She had almost forgotten him being here. She gave a sharp glare, even though he was the one who helped her the previous night. <>Yeah, right. I'm just fine. Just worry about yourself.<> She then rememberd that she had told him her past the night before also. Her face changed from a harsh expression to a sorrow-filled one, and she looked away.
Tsume stared on, his face now holding a look of concern. <>People always seem to turn away help when they need it the most, but in reality they actually want it more than anything. Huh. I wonder why that is?<> Tsume gave an amused look towards her and stood there waiting; he was curious to see what sort of response she would give. He found it odd that she was so much alike in personality and the way she acted when around other wolves. The grey wolf couldn't help but give a smirk at her actions. How similar they were to his own. Quite similar indeed.
((How weird. I just saw episode 29 for the first time today and saw Tsume's past. I had no idea Kouhai's past was so similar! I knew that Tsume had betrayed his pack in some way and got his scar from the leader and was banished. But I didn't know it was because he left the others in his pack behind and fled. Whoah. That was kinda freaky.))
Kiba's harsh snarl slowly started to fade as he realized she meant no harm to the two packs that were resting here. His ears returned to their normal position, and his fur was not as bristled anymore. He changed into human form and stared on with no expression on his visage. He gave a glance back at the others in his pack; they were now getting ready for the new day that had come. He looked back at Ravin and saw her frightened stature. He couldn't help but feel sorry for someone of his own kin who was in danger.
He extened a hand to help the fae rise to her feet. <>Come on. I don't think the others will mind too much that you're here, though...<> Kiba looked briefly over his shoulder. <>...it would be wise to be careful. We've all been through a lot. There's no telling how everyone will feel about letting an outsider join them so quickly without knowing who you are.<> There was a slight pause in the white wolf's words. <>But I wouldn't worry so much. I think we're all more focused on the nobles to worry a whole lot about whether you're a threat or not.<>
He knew she was weak, and that without a pack, she wouldn't make it on her own. The nobles are after every wolf, and a stray would just be another easy catch for their cause.
((sorry. I have to go after this post. 🙁))
Toboe turned his head at Rai's nudge, and slowly rose to his feet. He followed her silently as they made their way down to the others and wagged his tail jotfully at Hige and Blue. <>So, uh. What are we supposed to do?<> He changed forms and stretched his arms above his head.
Hige looked at the pup, and then glanced around to spot Kiba. He didn't see him and gave a sigh. <>My guess is that we'll probably get goin' as soon as everybody is up and ready. So....I think we'll start heading out around nightfall.<> He looked at Rai, who was standing at Toboe's side and then got to his feet.
