A shadow moved swiftly through the night. An ear pricked as howls were heard in the distance. ~what? Others?~ She froze in her steps, and slowly turned around. Lifting her muzzle to the sky, the fae breathed in the different scents. Some were of death. Some of blood. Loss and sorrow were also mingled with the smells. But most of all was the scent of other wolves. Could these wolves also be searching for the same place as she? Curious, the she-wolf began to run through the dead of night.
Coming to a small clearing, the creature made its way to small shrub. A scent came to her--it was a wolf. Cautiously, she trotted up to where the male lay, and immediately saw his wounds. Changing into her two-legged form, the young female placed her hand over the other's wounded body. .:Are you all right?:. Even though she knew the answer, it was best to ask anyway.
Now at the pool of water, Kouhai came upon a dilema. How to get the water back. ~What a dork. How am I supposed to get water now? Hmph. And why on earth am I helping this wolf? It doesn't matter. I have to protect my kind at all costs....even if I don't know who the heck they are.~ Still pondering the thought on how to get water, Kouhai gazed up at the moon and began to think.
