But he WAS in highschool. While he was living with what's his face .. *goes to look it up* Jack O’Diamonds. And had one hell of a bastard teacher there too.

Not that that has any bearing on the movie's accuracy, mind you .. just saying 😛

I think that's the thing man.
These movie bring up a lot of past history of these characters,but when you see it on the big screen it just really amplifies it more than a comic book can.
Even when they change it up a bit.

I mean no where have they said this is an exact translation of the Wolverine comic. This film along with all other comic films for the most part, is inspired by the source material.
If anything, I think their putting Cyclops in this film more for the fans than anything else.

Damn fox trying to redo characters origins rather then just go and stick with what happen in the comics.

Then why the hell did Ryan Reynold just come out going yet Deadpool is Weapon XI he's either telling the truth or just pulling everybodies leg...

that was retconned, iirc, hence what i said. 😛

I'm kinda wondering what deadpool is even doing in this movie considering he was never part of Team X but was a failed experiment of the second Weapon X program. I always thought that if they wanted to put him in a movie, make it a spin-off parody of all superhero movies. I mean yeah, they added him way back when they released the game which is supposed to be canonical (according to that, the Weapon X experiments were Wolverine, Sabretooth, Kane, Deadpool, Maverick, and Agent Zero) but I still think the movie would work better if they kept the original roster from the comics by replacing Deadpool with Mastadon, calling John Wraith Kestrel and calling Agent Zero Maverick and casting an actor who at least looks German.

who's playing young Striker??

A guy you wouldn't know.

Do any of you guys think we'll even see some mention of the cold war or the C-Synth or Omega Red?

I think it was an awesome choice picking Ryan Reynolds for Deadpool, he has the perfect attitude and style for it.

And Will.i.am as Kestrel was brilliant, he looks just like him, but he's using his powers more openly than in the comics.

Can Will.i.am act though?

looks interesting although i'm sure i'll get mad after i watch it and people start thinking its an accurate portrayal of everyone
