a baby's life

in orange county, california, a man will not be prosecuted for leaving his infant daughter in a parked vehicle, under the heat of the summer sun causing the child to die. he allegedly "forgot" that his daughter was in the vehicle while he worked. another man with a similar case was senteced to ONE DAY in prison every month, two hours of community service and to organize a blood drive in honor of his child.

lemme just say...

WHAT THE F*CK?!?

is this the cost of a child's life in america, a day's worth of wage? how could you forget a child-- a breathing, living entity, flesh of your flesh and blood of your blood-- inside a virtual oven? the law states that being forgetful is not punishable by the law and it doesn't constitute to grave negligence.

HELLUR!!! how grave do you want it to get? A CHILD IS DEAD! the punishment, the court says, is living with the guilt of killing their own child.

i would rather have that man in jail, thank you very much.

FUBAR doesn't even come close in describing this...

I agree that man should be put in prison. He didn't forget his child. He obviously wanted her dead. He murder his daughter!!!!!! God it makes me sick the shit that the people in this world do.

i would kill him like he killed his daughter

Capitol Punishment!!!

I live in Orange County, CA. That's a dumb ruling.

God damn this country is ****ed up. You can get thrown in prison for who knows how long for running an "anti-government" website, but you can kill your own child and you get no punishment whatsoever...

how horrible. something of the same happen a couple years back in alabama in a parking lot. this lady left her 2 twins, 5 years old i think the were, in the parking lot while she went in shopping, they sat behing a car and played patty-cake. the car that they were sitting behind was left running with a toddler in it, while its mother also went into the store. the toddles somehow was able to sit on the gas pedal, and the car had been left in reverse, the car backed up, and killed the two 5 years olds.
neither mother was charged or sentenced to time in prison.

That's sad story, Nazgul. How horrible for the children. ALL of them. What could you even say to a child that age, to explain why the others are just gone?

Something like this happened last month in my town, too. Granted, their are only a quarter of a million people living in this area, but a 27-year-old woman left her 18 month old kid in the car, with the keys in the car. the car running with the A/C on in a parking lot downtown, while she went into a local restaurant for lunch.
Passers by saw the unnattended baby and called the authorities--the woman said she only left the child for a little over twenty minutes. She was issued a citation, and no charges have been filed against her as of now. Wasn't that nice of her to leave the keys WITH the kid, so someone could have both with minimal effort?

what an excellent mother. if i recall correctly, there was a carjacker who stole a car with a baby inside... or is it just an episode of law and order 😕

I cannot fathom a parent leaving a young child unattended in a car while they shop, eat, or work. While I cannot judge another person's actions without "walking in their shoes" ( or having much more information at the least ), I cannot imagine why any of those things ever happened. I can't see how it could have come to that in any of those cases.

... i would do bad things to that man....

but then again... this is the government that allows abortion... so.... 😬 ... i don't get how some can show pain for these children but turn around and say abortion is ok 😬

i see what your saying. but even if i put myself in their place, i would never EVER do anything like such. it is inexcusable and should be punishable by law. this is like saying "i forgot i put bullets in the gun before i shot him..."

Good point. But then you have the whole argument of viability, etc. etc. Of course, there is already an abortion thread...

Well, yeah, I guess my point was that I can't possibly imagine what kind of thought process would have lead to these children being left in the vehicles to start with. While I would normally not place judgement without knowing more about a situation, I can't come up with any plausible excuse for these situations. So, I do agree with you. I don't think I worded it so clearly the first time. Sorry! 🙂

no need for apologieshey
