Please lets just shutup about Superman and Goku in the same topic please. Superman is an example of bad writitng where they make him stronger and thern cant find any villains to face him so they make an even stronger enemy where Superman overcomes him, and they get trapped in this awful cycle of Superman getting stronger to the point where he has to lift planets. Then they go to themselves 'o shit we made him too powerful, I know let's make him weaker! and give him a different name! It's complete trash! Superman is just too random, he can one day lift up a planet and the next, have trouble hunching a plane to the ground. He's just too unpredictable and therefor, useless to plot against any character. Plus, if you look at the science of super heroes, you will see that Superman has to be writton off from the start whereas with DBZ characters we can say that they get their incredible strength mostly from the ability to manipulate Ki, which kinda makes more sense. But I'll get into that another time.
But Goku is the main character...but it does seem wrong that Vegeta had trained all his life as a Saiyan while Goku grew up thought to be human until he met Raditz. Even though Vegeta was evil, it still seemed wrong. At least it wasn't like Trunks & Goten, that was so wrong! Just went Super Saiyan like nothing!
Gohan was good too, trained hard for a whole year to get to Super Saiyan, which is acceptable, but not those kids!
How actually did Vegeta soften up? On Namek with Frieza, he was still evil because he was saying that if he should kill Gohan when they were all transported. I just heard that he said he wouldn't fight until he got stronger than Goku, but still that doesn't explain why Bulma let him stay at her house, what a mad women! No one seemed to mind though, it's confusing... 😑
It made sense that Goku was first. Vegeta never truly cared for anyone and never felt the loss of a loved one like Goku experianced when he first transformed. It was only the fact that He saw it could be done and he wasn't the first that pure mindless rage consumed him and he became more malicious as a super saiyan.
I know. He said he didn't care about anything...then changed? 😑 Plus, Saiyan's were an evil race so how could they even change into Super Saiyans? One did thousands of years ago but he was a Golden Oozaru wasn't he? Then he couldn't control it & died. It's a legendary power, soon to be achieved my half Saiyan children which just seems wrong.
Goku did feel a lose because he grew up good but he never knew of the legend or trained as a Saiyan.

I don't think do, Goku just transformed into a normal Oozaru didn't he, or was it golden...? I remember that in the Frieza Saga, Vegeta was talking about the first Super Saiyan which was like 1000 years ago (somewhere else I heard it was 3000...) but that Super Saiyan wasn't in normal Saiyan form, he was a Oozaru.
