To those who like yaoi/shounen-ai, what makes you like these genres?

I've read some yaoi manga: Zetsuai 1989, Bronze... I liked these series, and I know MANY females enjoy reading this genre. Of course, a lot of people think it's disgusting 😘 and unnatural 😖. If you're in the group of yaoi readers, what makes you feel attracted by it? 🤨

In my case, I'm attracted because you usually don't read about those things in real life. Besides, the stories are mostly strange and that makes them interesting!

I would like to read your point of view. 😉

I like yaoi because most of the yaoi fics that I read have better plot and are more interesting than the regular ones. Plus in anime, it's easy to spot yaoi couples.

I like it because I do.Romance is romance,and who its between doesn't matter.Im usually more attracted to the bittersweet forbidden stuff though,so shounen ai,shoujo ai,and incest are all great for me.Its sad how people say that love is discusting..because its not.I personally believe the power of love trancends all,and theres nothing that redneck christian republican society can do about it.(This coming froma proud bisexual)

So generally,im not in for the ^_^,im in for the excitment of seeing the power of love shine itself in the brightest and most powerful ways!

I absolutely agree with you. 😉 People who truly love don't fall in love with the sex of the person, but with the person itself. And many of these series show us that! ✅

I do like natural things, but I don't mind homosexual or bisexual relationships, and I'd like them to be respected and accepted.

Besides, yaoi/shounen-ai stories are very interesting!!

Well, for me is not disguting, but is not in my taste either. I've never read them because for me is not interesting. Don't get me wrong I'm not saying that the stories aren't good, is just that It doesn't appeal to me as interesting.

Kaine is actually a dud, theres only a suggestion of yaoi coz all thse girls seem to fall for him.

my sister luvs manga but hates yaoi with a passion, wouldnt touch one with a yard pole. me and my sis are almost similar in taste and everything but this topic we differ. i luv yaoi and shonen-ai. their actually much much more funnier and developed than shoujo and the guys are cooler.

i dont know bout u but i also like the 'dominated' guys, with the cute 'girly' faces and vulnerable eyes. if u think thats unnatural, go figure!

CHRIST!How could I forget!Love Mode was...errr..ok,and Gravitation was great!I actually adored Kaine,but im sort of Kaori Yuu biased>_<

I think the shounen ai could have been more definate,but it was great as a manga.

Ohh,and then there my sis;10 years old and she is in desperation to see Leon and Count D shoving their******in ******(which I told her,will NEVER happen)

Its all about mental maturity and the ability to accept people I guess.Yuri too...I love yuri!

I like shonen ai, cause in most series the guys are REALLY hot. and, for some reason the relation-ship and story line between the two seems to be really cute ^^. It just drags me in, I cant help it.
