Naruto Naruto Naruto..the most overrated peice of shounen shit sence INuyasha.I mean,fine,Naruto is alright,but what makes to so different from al other shounen out there.The characters are overused,the story is all-to-common,the art isn't exactually fancinating compared to someone like Watase,Yoshizumi,or Yuuki.So whats so great about Naruto?
You're great fro saying that!! I agree that both Naruto and InuYasha anime are total shit!
Of course what the best anime is depends on whoever you ask.
When I was around 10, Sailor Moon was the best anime ever to me and now I can’t bear to watch the episodes that I have.
I saw that someone is mentioned Fushigi Yuugi. The manga of that might be alright, but Miaka is helpless and annoying. She’s moral support and that’s about it. The anime lasted too long for all that happened and the music was too dramatic.The manga is far better... That’s the same for Ayashi no Ceres. InuYasha is defiantly not the best in my opinion...
I would have to say that for person-spirited-away-to-magical-land type story, the Escaflowne movie (Girl in Gaiea or whatever), Sent to Chihiro no Kamikakushi (Spirited Away) and Juuni Kokki (also known as Juuni Kokuki/12 Kingdoms) are the best.
I think that Golden Boy was fairly amusing. It lasting for only 6 episodes help keep it’s “charm.” If that program had carried on for over 10 or so episodes, that would have ruined it.
My current favorites are Caryon Shinchan and Juuni Kokki. Crayon Shincan is a lot like The Simpsons, while having awfully horrible animation (as if a kid drew it with a crayon). It’s a pretty funny show.
Juuni Kokki is probably the best anime series as of now. Even though it starts off focusing on Youko, later on, the story expands to other characters. The Chinese influenced mythology is interesting, the artwork is rich and the characters are not so static. Youko changes from a person who was always trying to please others, to someone who was insane and bloodthirsty, to a person who is strong enough to make her own decisions. The beginning and the struggle between Youko and her friend Yuka remind me of Fushigi Yuugi. I also find it equally amusing that Yuka was an obsessed fangirl who loved Fushigi Yuugi-like stories and was a social outcast and even though Yuka so desperately wanted to be an important character in the mystical land, she had no real importance, which she struggled against quite a bit.
Sorry if this post is too long... and I’m interested in your opinions.
As far as funny stuff goes, I think Excel is my favorite so far. Puni Puni wasn't bad, but it was a little...I'm kind of embarrassed about it, I guess. I'm not all too fond of Clamp, but Chobits was pretty funny, and I've heard Love Hina is better...meh. Or Fruits Basket maybe...I don't watch a lot of funny anime, really.
As far as action...bloody gore stuff is concerned, Hellsing isn't bad. I think Berserk would be better, but my sibling erased most of my episodes...::Fumes, then smirks::
With psychological, suspensful thrillers and odd abstract things, well, the list is long because that's what I like. Key the Metal Idol, Boogiepop Phantom, Serial Experiments: Lain, and Kino's Journey are all at the top with Cowboy Bebop, C/B being there because I think it's brilliant and it was the first thing I was exposed to.
There's manga I've read, though, that if they had an anime, they'd be on my list such as Gunslinger Girl, whom I'm waiting patiently for the second volume. Hot Gimmick is the same way. Pet Shop of Horrors, I heard, had some really twisted animations that I would probably love, and I find the manga excellent. In the end, I'm too indecisive. He-he-he. =^.^=;;
