Best artwork

Which comic or artist has the best artwork by your opinion? Hopefully I get to know some more great works of art this way.

I myself am really impressed by 'Slaine', artwork by Simon Bisley, Dermot Power and some others.
'The Mercenary', by Vicente Segrelles pleases my eyes a great deal too, as well as 'Storm', by Don Lawrence.
And I find Todd McFarlane's artwork very impressive as well, but I prefer the handpainted work of the above.

Tell me your favorites please!

there already a thread like this.

Oh dear! I'll go look
Thanks!

Yeah well, that must be on page 834 somewhere then. Guess it won't hurt putting up a new one.
Come and share your admiration!

Chris Bachello is my favorite artist

Todd McFarlane 😎

Don't know Chis Bachello yet (or atleast can't connect him with certain drawings, maybe I've seen his anyhow) so I'll check him out!
Todd kicks ass no questions there!

Oh yeah, check out Simon Bisley's touch here! How about this butt-stompin art?

He drew the Penance in the center of my signature image. He worked on Generation X for a while... He did X-Men for a bit while Maggot was in the book... He did Catwoman (for the "If Stan Lee had created the characters" story... Steam Punks is his work... Ultimate X-Men was done by him for a while... He did Death for a while...I can't think of anymore off the top of my head.

I did miss spell his name though it is spelled Bachalo.

michael turner is awesome, and jim lee is another amazing artist as well, i dont know if you meant chris bachalo or if theres another named chris bachello but he's a pretty good artist too, i love his work on the hunt for xavier story arc, his drawings of the brotherhood are the best imo, carlos pacheco is amazing too

i almost forgot about frank miller, his lone wolf and cub covers were awesome, and his old wolverine mini was amazing

EDIT: my toad icon is from chris bachalo, although it's small lol

Was it from the Generation X issue... when Toad had an army of evil toads under his control?

lol, no it's from uncanny xmen #363 when professor xavier is missing and found leading the brotherhood, i wanna get that generation X though

it actually spanned 2 issues I think... I'll have to look through my back issues and see.

which generation X issue is that?

he does have little toads in that cover though, but they're not in the comic lol

I enjoyed some of the pieces by Jim Lee during the early 90's. I also liked a pinup of Ghost done by Adam Hughes, and although not always associated (if ever) with comics, I like a number of work done by Julie Bell and Luis Rojo.

Aah, he's one of the veterans! I sure loved the earlier x-men drawings, with maggot and all, pretty scary compared to the cartoonish look of today. Yeah, he rocks!

Aah, and check this picture by Vincente Segrelles! This man has his skills perfected.

yeah Bachalo likes to add frogs, turtles or toads into all his comics.

I think it started in Gen X #18 at the very end and finished in 19...

i'm gonna check that out, i miss the old illustrations of all the xmen, like bachalo and madureira plus a ton of others.....now imo everyones trying to go for a more realistic look, like ultimate nightmare and astonishing xmen
