Should men be allowed to cry?

Do you think that men should cry or not? My dad thinks that whether they do or not is entirely due to social stricture rather than biology, because men in Italy are allowed to cry and so do.

It' s a shame our culture looks at tears in a man’s eyes as a form of weakness and not for what they really are. But everyone has his own way of dealing with his/her emotions. And whatever one does, one should feel comfortable with it.
Seeing a man cry would never make me think less of him.
