Actually it's the same in ANH the top of the activation button is just different. The top of the activation button is about the same Anakin has in ep II...It's also the one Darth Vader has on each saber, except the one on the pictures of ROTS.
Note pictures below of Anakin ROTS lightsaber these are Master Replicas (high end prop replicas) version at the 2005 toy fair, see the huge orange plug much like what GG is holding and the gold in the control box and textured part going around the saber like ESB, The actual hero props where sent to MR for spot on acuracy.
