Ok looking at those pictures I now understand why people ask, why would Sideous go to all the trouble to save Anakin. I mean seriously, there isnt much left at all. cry

Siduous needs Anakin to get Luke to turn to the darkside when he's old enough, he probably senses Luke's connection to the force

maybe cuz anakin was strong in the force despite his suit and maybe he also wanted him to put fear into the hearts of the imperials to keep them in line?
