I dunno, looks like Vader tears up his operating room with his saber. I would almost bet that he takes on swing at Sidious, who blocks it, laughing, as Vader grasps his fate and gives in. Maybe too much to hope for, because the book is out and we would have heard about it by now. But it would be cool.

Yes that would be cool indeed. At least a little shot with a Vader saber but maybe Lucas didn't want to show Vader wielding a saber because it would be too much of a contrast with the sequels.

but vader wields his saber in the sequels...

That's what i say, it may not look the same.

new... if it's ep 3?

It is...It's a droid control ship, same as Anakin destroys in ep I.

Vader tears the room up by drawing on the force. No saber. It's been confirmed several times now that we wont see any Vader with a saber action. ROTS isnt about Vader kicking ass in the suit. It's about how he turns to the darkside and ends up IN the suit. If you crave Vader with a saber you'll have to buy an action figure.

Or whatch the OT at that.

This is precisely why I think this film will dissapoint a few, if not a lot, of fans.

The way the film has been marketed, with Vaders mask slapped on everything, implies he's gonna do something more than have a temper tantrum.

I bet many are expecting to see suited Vader actually do something, like kill at least a Jedi, and are gonna be dissapointed.

I admit I was dissapointed myself when I found out suited Vader didn't take out his frustrations by taking out the last remaining Jedi.

It's almost as though a major chunk of the story is going to be missing. In my eyes, the saga is fragmented, rather than complete.

It's like the PT is gonna end just as it is getting full steam. We needed more Clone Wars and more Jedi Purge. Not necessarily action, but more elaboration on these two most important events.

I though the PT was supposed to fill in the gaps - it's going to leave too many questions unanswerred. In fact, the PT has been answerring all the wrong questions from the start, in my opinion.

/anger

He kills obi wan in ANH, He kills his master in ROTJ, I don't get why people want to see all this in episode III, it's all in the OT. And we get to see him kill a lot of people in episode III, maybe not in the suit but the suit is only on him cuas he got his ass kicked by obi wan.

Oh Red for heavens sake. I think that having the ability to wreck a room just using your temper and force of will is pretty cool in itself. I'll agree that there are people going to be dissapointed because of the marketing, but thats fanboys for ya. 😱 Suited Vader is only PART of the saga, and that part of his story has been told already.

fragmented? well there are 20 years between both trilogies... there is already TOO much explainded. There is much more connection between EP3 and 4 than between any of the others. Actually, only Han Solo is the new character from ep4.
Would you like that you had an extra half hour of the movie REPEATING the same scene of Anakin destroying the temple, but with Vader killing Jedi around the galaxy??

And that thing of Vader atacking Sidious is stupid. He is not angry with the dark side, he is angry with the situation, with the jedi, with Anakin and with the suit. Actually, Sidious is the only thing he has left.

Not to mention, it takes several months to wipe all the Jedi out. This will be covered in the book that comes out after ROTS called Dark Lord.

Besides Anakin wipes out several Jedi as Anakin, we dont need to see him do again as Vader

i like the mystery involved, instead of it being served on a silver platter

I think what people are missing is that we will see alot of the destruction Vader is known for.... the Jedi Temple slaughter, and "ending the war" by killing the Separatists... its just that he will be Vader/Hayden not Vader/Suit.... and while i think everyone would have loved to see mech Vader fight.... I think it really works well this way

i like it a whole lot better, plus if he's not in the suit he's just a little bit mor agile which means......MORE EYE CANDY!!!!

I have said this before, we really do not need to see Vader kill jedi in his siut. It is awesome, but like you guys siad before, it is just going to be repeating itself, and it will become boring.

if i saw that, i would be like: "OLD NEWS!"

I'm willing to accept the fact that we won't see Vader doing much at all.

I can't hide my dissapointment though. No matter how many people will try and rationalise that "its about Anakin becoming Vader" it's not good enough, for me, to be honest. Such a big deal was made about Darth Vader ever since Episode I. This big build up to see the man in black, and we get ten minutes. How can anyone fail to think that this won't dissapoint more than just a few, and not just the fanboys, I mean as a general headcount of moviegoers?

You can all pretend a moody Hayden Christensen is Darth Vader. You can all listen to George Lucas telling us that a moody Anakin is Darth Vader. To me, "dark Hayden" is Darth Vader in name only. I'm sure deep down you all agree. Darth Vader is the guy in black and odd, ghost-like mask. It's my own damn fault for interpretting it that way. Ever since Obi-Wan told Luke that Darth Vader killed the Jedi, I have imagined the evil, suited Vader taking them out - no wonder I feel the slightest hint of dissapointment, nothing would top that in my mind.

Please don't think I'm being pessimistic, because I'm looking forward to the movie as much as all of you, it's just I'm not always 100% satisfied with what i've seen so far.

I'm going to be setting myself some low expectations, so maybe I'll come out of the cinema actually rather surprised. It's every other idiot that is expecting the be-all-and-end-all of Star Wars films that I feel sorry for, they could be severely dissapointed.
