I need to see the Shikki ova too, but I haven't advanced much at watching the Anime, but since it is canon it shouldn't be a problem.

I watched Marineford in the anime and up to the End of Alabasta.

But yeah....Shiki is rather underwhelming. The fact that it only took 5 Straw Hats to give him trouble and Luffy ultimately defeated him annoyed me. More underwhelming than Sengoku.

His Devil Fruit power is ridiculous and yet, the fact that he can't use it on people cuts its effectiveness in half.

I'm bored.

Isn't Shiki's fruit just a much more powerful version of Vander Decken's?

Eh....kinda sorta. Shiki's doesn't work on people period. He wants to attack people, he had to manipulate the things he has already touched and use that as his weapon. Decken's works by picking a target and then he can presumably throw anything at it.

Based on feats though, Shiki's Devil Fruit power could make Enel and Whitebeard blush. The dude can make like 10 islands levitate casually.

Mind you, this is botched by Shiki being almost as dumb a fighter as Mr. Banzai from Bleach. He could potentially kill even someone like Whitebeard. His power works on water and he can encase his opponents in it. And considering everyone and their mother has eaten a DF, this is pretty deadly. But, he is stupid so he then knocks his opponent out of the water, whereupon they can proceed to kick his stupid ass to kingdom come.

Zommari would kill Shiki pretty damn easily if it came to an actual fight and CIS was off. Shiki is not awesome though. More of a character than Zommari but not awesome.

Enel's El Thors are apparently town busters each, and the second Raigou is more powerful than every other attack in the HST combined.

And Shiki could casually destroy several islands. Lift them up and then drop them. Dude is very broken.

Those were good days. What is particularly interesting is that everyone pretty much forgot about Ace at that point.

Well Zommari is pretty broken however I can't imagine Shiki being dumber than him even though I've never seen "Strong-World" or whatever.

Except Neph. He seemed pretty bummed out about it. Ace is one character I'm so conflicted about. At the time of his death, he was certainly going to be in my favorites. But then....we see more of his backstory....And it killed me.

Shiki is petty stupid. He waited 20 years to accomplish what he could do it a couple weeks. He also basically let Luffy beat him the moment he stupidly knocked Luffy out of the water he was in.

Zommari was just a really over confident bastard.

Wow...that does sound pretty darn stupid. Well Shiki has the excuse of being scared of Garp and Newgate. Zommari has none.
