I dunno, good charlotte are like meh to me, their songs aren't too awful but i dunno, they seem a bit too desperate for fame or something and they just seem like wannabes to me.

hair metal was an offshoot of 70's glam rock(queen, bowie) started by bands like van halen. It lasted all through the 80's, but became extinct thanks to bands like Nirvana and Alice in Chains. Its characterized by poppish lyricys, big hair, and tight-as-hell spandex

hehe i was born in 85 so... 🙂 and im not really familiar with the music of the 80s either but i think the 'music of modern times' is much worse >.<
i mean music without real instruments and so on
